Jay Carney Snaps at Another Reporter, This Time from Fox: ‘If You Did a Little Reporting…’

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney during an interview with Fox News’ Jenna Lee on Friday snapped at her questions regarding the effects of sequestration, saying that “if [she] did a little reporting” she would be better informed.

“The White House is going to be open for the East Egg Roll for families for Congress,” Lee said, referring to the various closures that the White House has announced since the March 1 automatic budget cuts, “but not open for families that are just, you know, regular families out there that want to visit the White House.”

Carney pounced.

“Well, actually,” he said, “Jenna, again, if you did a little reporting you’d know that the Easter Egg Roll is open for a lot of military families.”

“It’s paid for by the sale of those eggs that come out as well as donations from the outside,” he added.

For those of you who might be a little surprised at the Press Secretary’s tone, you shouldn’t be. After all, this is the second time this week that he has snapped at a reporter.

Recall that NPR reporter Mara Liasson on Monday asked him whether entitlement reform would be part of President Barack Obama’s official budget.

“Mara, the way you phrase that question makes me think that you’re still working on a typewriter or something. It’s available online. The proposal is there,” Carney responded.

Indeed, Carney’s tendency to be somewhat curt is hardly new — especially when it comes to Fox reporters. Consider the past dust-ups both he and Fox News’ Ed Henry have gotten into:

Logically, these recent idiotic outbursts by this worthless bag of puss should not be suprising. He has been a part of the most deceitful, most misleading “campaign” ever, under the assumption that they had already won, and the masses were ignorant fools. Well, after gloating for 4+ years and proving how much of a fraud this president and his presidency, of course he’s not going to be able to handle it when more and more people everyday wake up to the lies. This is probably just me being optimistic (at my own risk), but if you look at the political climate nowadays, it is starting to seem like the sleeping masses are finally awakening and opening their eyes to this wannabe dictatorship. The more and more this happens, the more we’re going to see true P’sOS like this crumble under very simple, innocent questions. I, for one, am enjoying watching the insane “left” communists scrambling to keep their fortress of lies standing.

If Carney is soon cashiered by Obama or just decides to leave of his own volition because he just can’t bear to look at himself in the mirror anymore (I realize this is almost unheard of among liberals not to be able to look at themselves in the mirror anymore no matter HOW shamefully they’ve spoken or acted, but hey, it HAS been known to happen once in a very blue moon, look at David Horowitz) and Obama is looking for a suitable replacement:

well, Keith Olbermann is free.

Olbermann ALREADY satisfies the single most important requirement for a job the Obama administration; the unshakable belief that the sun shines out of Obama’s arse.

I think we are witnessing the classic crap rolling down hill scenario. That is to say, I just know Carney is tied to the whipping post and given a 100 lashes every time he misspeaks or goes off script.
In fact, I would not doubt it is Michelle who emasculates him in front of the White House staff on a daily basis. Consequently, Carney has so much pent up anger and frustration at having to live with himself under such conditions, he can’t help but lash out at people.

  The problem is that you are wrong. There is an associated cost whenever even sponsored events are scheduled.
  
  Security and coordination as well as man hours are all devoted to special events. Jenna was correct to ask the question as the White House attempts to hold these business-as-usual photo ops and celebrations while pleading poverty and shutting down other services, programs, and events.

I’m sure by now that I’m not the FIRST one here to comment in this vein of thinking:

anybody getting the impression that the strain of trying to keep track of the ocean of lies that Carney has to navigate through which it seems is part and parcel of ANY job in the Obama administration is starting to really take its toll on Carney?

Any of you remember back during the Clinton administration when, after the Monica Lewinsky scandal broke, Clinton’s then-press secretary Mike McCurry had an unguarded moment of candor about the scandal before the press corps – he said something like “If there was a simple explanation for it, I think you would have heard it from us by now” – that wound up costing him his job?

I wonder when Carney will have HIS Mike McCurry moment of unguarded candor before the press corps, and what will trigger it, that finally forces Obama to cashier HIM because he just couldn’t manage the stream of lies from Obama well enough.
