New Report: 3 American Diplomatic Security Officials Injured in Benghazi Attack

According to a State Department official, three American diplomatic security agents were among those injured during last September’s terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi.
According to the official, who spoke to Fox News on the condition of anonymity, two were injured — one “seriously” — at the CIA annex and a third suffered smoke inhalation as had Ambassador Chris Stevens, who ultimately was killed.
Blaze readers are of course familiar with the siege that claimed the lives of four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador, two Navy SEALs and an additional civil servant but a new focus of late has been the accounts of those who survived the carnage.
According to Fox, the diplomatic security agent who suffered the most severe injury during the second wave of the attack was likely a State Department employee who received a visit at Walter Reed Medical Center by Secretary of State John Kerry in January.
The State Department official did not provide additional details on the nature of the man’s injuries or whether he had in fact been visited by Kerry or Hillary Clinton. Another agent, meanwhile, is said to have had an “extended stay” for treatment in Germany following the attack.
In total, a reported 33 were evacuated from the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi that fateful day, with Ambassador Stevens and the other three men succumbing to their injuries during the siege.
Congressional staffers from the House Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, Judiciary and the Government Oversight committees reportedly met for a closed door “status report” on their committees’ ongoing Benghazi investigations.
Below is a report that explains more about those injured. One had been described by Sec. of State Kerry as “remarkably courageous person who is doing very well.”

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 2:45pmObama is harassing the witnesses of the Bengazi murders. Isn’t that what the mafia does to people that can testify against them? Tampering with evidence used to be against the law, but not in Kenya, I guess.

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 1:03pmI believe that John Kerry was not yet confirmed as Secretary of State in January. I had as much right to speak with the injured DSA as did he, I would contend.

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 12:30pmkudos to GER….. absolutely right GER. And there isn’t one news source other than the “Rutherford County Reader” in Rutherford County, Tennessee that is reporting that 7 coptic Christians ( peaceful Egyptian citizens) were also abducted during this same period and taken into custody by Egyptian authorities. One reportedly was tortured to death and died on Wednesday. The other six are still in custody. What did Barry say?….. Mubarak must go so democracy can prevail?? How have we become so gullible?? Very sad, indeed……

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 11:43amThe GOP has every right to be outraged at President Obama over Benghazi. Mount like that eve happened on their watch. Oh wait I’m wrong it did 5 times.
2002 U.S consulate in Pakistan 10 were killed
2004 U.S embassy in Uzbekistan 2 were killed
2004 U.S consulate in Saudi Arabia 8 were killed
2006 U.S embassy in Syria 1 was killed
2008 U.S embassy in Yemen 10 were killed

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 12:32pmok, troll, go elsewhere for your counterproductive emotional rants…
no ambassador was killed in your noted attacks.
there was no cover up of the action or our response.
sort of not the same thing, don’t you think… oh wait, all you want it to throw bombs, not actually discuss why Benghazi is important… that would mean admitting too much… facts be damned.

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 1:28pmThe difference there…low information voter…is this……the president in all the other attacks, did NOT lie about the cause of it.Nor were the people who could defend them told to STAND DOWN as they were at Benghazi. The marines who were killed ran to try to help, disobeying orders. Obama claims is was all due to a video , and that we should place limits on free speech. The person who made the video is still in jail. for what is another story. The attack lasted for over 8 damn hours before the last of them was killed. we had major help less than an hour away and what did we do? NOTHING. So I have to ask..what the hell is wrong with people like you who refuse to except facts?

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 1:59pmIt wasn’t a seven-hour battle. It was two 20-minute battles separated by about six hours. The idea that this was one continuous event is just incorrect. And the nearest armed aircraft, happened to be in Djibouti, the distance from Djibouti to Benghazi is the distance from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles. There is some significant physics involved. And the time available, given the intelligence available

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 10:13amGER Does it matter …. if any of the events you described happened if we didn’t learn?
There is this trouble some oath of office. It makes no mention of excuses for previous events.
If no action was taken out of ignorance then we need to consider whether we have elected the best choice for the job.
If no action because of knowledge and the choice to take no action we are back to considering whether we have elected the best choice for the job.
When we say nothing could be done so we did nothing we are assuming superior knowledge, knowing all. Historically that leads to considering whether we elected the best choice for the job because over the last few thousand years there is no evidence of knowing all at the human level.
What do you think>

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 11:42amIt took the State Depasrtment six months to make this report! Are the “Islamists” still nameless? What about the justice for the cover up by the Obama administration? Blaming a laughable 13 minute film “Innocence of Muslims” for the attack. Then posting it as an apology on Pakistani airwaves. This is State Department “whitewash” for Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton! This government is not of, for or by the people! Like the main stream media, and Wall Street it seves its masters the Protected Elite Political Class. Lies, and deceit have replaced the truth. Life, Liberty, and pursuit of happiness have been replaced with abortion , ObamaCare, a messianic’s “transformation”.

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 11:15amI am very worried about this country. We all know that obama has done a myriad of things worth getting impeached for and nothing happens. I don’t have the room in this forum to repeat them all but you know them too. His socialist agenda and his arming of private army (TSA/DHS) goes on like those things are natural. His freedom to act like a socialist dictator proves the Democratic party is completely devoid of patriotism and they are sold out to the leftist. His freedom to spread socialism proves the GOP is weak but they are still fighting against obama and their RINOs. Most of the AMerican people are mentally flabby, lazy, and gullible. The election process is crooked and able to be manipulated by the democrats. All of these things need correction. Obama needs to be impeached.

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 10:36amThe White House has taken extreme measures to keep the honest press away from these “secret” survivors. I understand they have “instructed” the families of the survivors to keep quiet.
There has to be more to this story than anyone ever imagined. There can’t be any other reason for keeping the survivors away from the public. There is truth here that The White House can’t afford to get out. They’re already thinking about 2014 elections, and the complete story of what happened in Benghazi could be devastating to their socialist plans.
Could there have been be more than four Americans killed, because of the incompetence and/or corruption of the current administration?

Posted on March 15, 2013 at 10:28amWill you please stop calling it a “U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi?” We all know it was a CIA operation. The State Department had NOTHING to do with what went on there, other than the Ambassador somehow took on the duel role as the Station Chief. Note to self: This is why embassies and intelligence ops don’t mix.
Anyone ever wonder if Stevens was getting double pay?

Posted on March 17, 2013 at 3:55amIf a person is still in or hospital 4+ months and counting after an event, that means that person is critically injured. I wonder whether he could talk or was even awake.
How many survivors are still in the hospital? How many are still in some sort of ongoing care for their injuries?
