Rapper Lil Wayne Recovering After Suffering Seizure

(TheBlaze/AP) — Lil Wayne says he’s OK — or at least that’s the message that was posted via his official Twitter account late Friday.

The multiplatinum rapper was hospitalized in Los Angeles on Friday and reps confirmed he was “recovering” after suffering a seizure. The rapper tweeted to his fans: “I’m good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love.”.

A person close to the superstar rapper’s camp who asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter confirmed to The Associated Press that Lil Wayne had a seizure.

However, according to TMZ Wayne had been placed in an induced coma and, at one point, was being read his last rites. The site later removed that portion of its report. As of 10 p.m. ET, TMZ’s “sources” were saying that the rapper was still in critical condition but stabilizing.

“We’re told the prognosis is uncertain,” TMZ writes. “Wayne is sleeping right now … which is odd, because he just tweeted saying he’s OK and thanking people for the prayers and love.”

It’s unclear which of the conflicting reports is actually true at this point, but officials nor the rapper’s reps have openly confirmed TMZ’s report.

The 30-year-old New Orleans rapper is one of the biggest stars of not only his genre but in all music. He’s due to release his 10th album, “I Am Not a Human Being,” on March 26.

There are two dramatic truisms that are a distinct carry over from the 20th Century. The evil scientist that invented Crack Cocaine and the Heroin drug pusher that says, “The first bag is free” are two super evil dudes with a special place in Hell awaiting them. There again, another carry over is the two kinds of people that carry badges, cops and perverts! Not to get all paranoid, but do you know where your child is? Perhaps your daughter is in college and is armed only with a rape whistle and a map to the nearest call box? For all of this you can thank the Libs.

  Good spot. You know the way stories get dropped? I mean, did they ever get that guy who shot the rapper in Las Vegas? I worked closely with Fort Lauderdale detectives and I was advised that when a ‘Hoodie gets away a big reward is usually offered, fervently hoping that a former girlfriend rats them out. That doesn’t look like it panned out, so to speak.

What was the worse behavior in “Happy Days”? The Fonz hitting a jukebox for a free play or borrowing Dad’s car and getting a parking ticket after the big prom date? These “Days”, are we slipping or what? “Happy”? I don’t think so. That being a given, we still have the Golden Oldies. That’s something anyway.

I might just be spiff balling here but the posture of this fellow lends one to speculate that his seizure could have a common link to ingesting cocaine, made all the worse via smoking a crack rock. I want to tread softly here because a Grand-mal seizure can also be directly attributed to a brain tumor. Epilepsy is unlikely as there would be a long history to reflect upon. Certainly a Cat-scan is now pending. First, I would naturally refer to cocaine abuse because that’s the most likely source of his issue. That being a given, it would still be blatantly superfluous to simply say, “Look at this guy. What would you expect”? You know what they say, “Profiling is politically incorrect”! We wouldn’t want to go there. Someone covered in gang tattoos could be just a neighborhood thing. Dreadlocks are very stylish in certain quarters. In my personal history, I recall tie-dyed jeans and bell bottom pants but I never wore them around my ankles. Perhaps, that’s just me!

That’s what happens when you mix Red Bull, Coke, Diet Pills, Cough Medicine, Ice Tea, and Skittles. At least he wasn’t wearing a hoodie when it happened, that would have been the last straw, it causes lead poisoning.
