Update: This post now includes a variety of patriotic and conservative tattoos sent to TheBlaze. You can see them at the end of the story.
Day two of the three-day CPAC event in Washington DC revealed a side of the Conservative world that is rarely seen by the media: tattoos.
On Thursday night, during the very crowded Blog Bash event at CPAC, we spotted a very one special tattoo.

That tat surprised all of the Blazer staffers that have seen it, so we decided to see if there were others at the conference who might be sporting some “ink.” (After we share some of the tattoos that we found on Friday afternoon, we will reveal the single tattoo voted “Most Conservative” by virtually every single person who has seen it.)
Meet 21-yr-old Jeremy Freeman, a young Conservative who shared his personal motto, inked onto his right bicep just six months ago.

Here’s the closeup of Jeremy’s arm art.

While we scanned the massive crowd for possible hidden tattoo owners, we spotted this gentleman from Dallas, Texas – Ian Jacobson.

Ian was proud to share several of the tattoos on his very tall frame. Most are on his legs and all are religious in nature.

Word spread through the CPAC network and some have started submitting conservative tattoos to us. This one features Brian Tupper, and his #TCOT tat. “#TCOT” is Twitterspeak for “Top Conservatives On Twitter.” (If you are a Twitter user, we invite you to let Mr. Tupper know how you feel about his arm tattoo. His Twitter handle is @BryTupper.)

Conservative tattoos were not as rare as one might expect. In our search for more of them, we came upon a web site that actually collects images of tattoos that just feature the Gadsden Flag related tattoos like this one.

Image: Gadsden.info
All of the tattoos featured above are certainly worthy of the title of “Conservative.” However, they pale in comparison to the body art we found on a woman at the Blog Bash. She is a married mother of three who happens to have a very deep affection for former President Ronald Wilson Reagan. That appreciation for the 40th President inspired this.

If you have a Conservative bit of skin art that you would like to share with TheBlaze, please email it to mopelka@theblaze.com and we will consider adding it to this collection of tattoos.
UPDATE:
Here are a few more tattoos submitted by faithful readers of TheBlaze:
Laurie — who served as a Captain and Medical Crew Director in the U.S. Air Force — shared this snapshot of her very permanent USAF Flight Nurse wings.

USAF Flight Nurse tattoo
Blaze reader David G. tells us that his G.O.P. tat was applied in Australia, with the locals assuming that it was an homage to the “Grand Old Party of life.”

G.O.P.
Scot B’s Mount Rushmore ink also came with a comment. “Sad that images of americana are considered “conservative.”

Mount Rushmore tat
“Live Free or Die” came from a “A Kansan tattooed in Texas.”

Mar. 16, 2013 at 3:33pmIt’s great that people want to express their views thru ink, but please no tramp stamps of political icons. I’m pretty sure your husband doesn’t want to stare at Ronald Reagan’s name when he’s taking care of business. And the #tcot tattoo is bad choice. It’s a cultural reference that, along with twitter, no one will remember in a decade. Think before you ink.

Mar. 16, 2013 at 3:16pmThe only thing I have to say – two things really: First, be sure of your tattoo artist – that he is using clean and sterile needles and ink. You can contract Hepatitis c by dirty needles. Second, don’t tattoo over where you may someday need to have injections or IVs placed. It can make things tough. That is the word from my niece, the nurse.

I totally agree! Even though I served 20 years actdu with the mighty US NAVY and visited some great places in which to get a real overseas authentic tat like Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and quietly refrained and held my own and my values intact….atleast in that area. I am coming to see tats in a new light that I did not see before. I believe they are a stepping stone to taking the mark of the beast described in the NT. He (Satan) is making it easy for people to get used to putting things on their bodies for whatever personal reasons and then a choice….an allegiance will be called for. Take this mark and this will show whom you are with….if you believe in me, take my mark and we will KNOW who is who. God also has marked us with his Holy Spirit which is easily obtained through repentance and submission to his will. Its free, does not hurt and the only way it can be seen is if you live the life accordingly.

Mar. 16, 2013 at 8:49pmI would have left the promotion part out myself since now it no longer matters and if brought up is used as a tool (justification and rationalization) to bash others who remember when it was otherwise….which is alright as well.
In the US Navy, if you were and enlisted person going up for promotion to the Officer Corps, you could not have any visible tats on your arms due to short sleeve uniforms which would expose them in the officers mess aboard ship and around base. Yes we have long sleeves as well but it did not matter. They would not take you in and that was simply called “standards” which is no longer part and parcel of our brave new world. Its a world in which standards are irrelavant due to the culture of Moral Relativity. Nothing is right and nothing is wrong. Its all fair game and who is to say?
In the America of yesteryear, the only people who got tats were Sailors and Bikers. It was considered very trashy and although prevalent today even on the girl next door who if grew up in the same period I am speaking up, would not have even considered it. What changed is the spirit of the times. As long as everyone is going along with it or it is considered PC, then its fair game. We had a name for this too back in the day and it was called “Sellout” and “Conformist”. So those who want to bash should consider the comformity they have now..well…conformed to!

I think not, and like I said, without me showing you, I am just a retired vet, father of 4, Grandfather of 5, upper middle class I.T. Sr Systems Engineer making a good living against all the so called odds of having tattoos, not having a college degree. yep, I won’t go anywhere, won’t be anything because I didn’t follow the progressive indoctrination process or believe their crap… let me tell you kids out there, follow your heart and your dreams and you can be anything, ANYTHING you want to be, never let someone tell you NO, or YOU CAN”T BE because you did this or that. as long as your not a druggie or convict, you can be anything you want. Mar. 17, 2013 at 6:21pmA person’s body is their own, and getting a tat is a way to show who they are or what they believe. I am a Christian man, but I don’t go for religious views such as yours. I mean, there are plenty of Christians who get tattoos of crosses or bible verses. Instead of trying to be so religious, try just following the spirit of righteousness, the spirit of truth, the spirit of love, the spirit of wisdom. It is He who leads you to nobility, honor, and integrity, righteousness, truth, and justice; not religion.

the day Timothy McVeigh was arrested he was wearing a t-shirt that had a picture of Abraham Lincoln on the front with the words “Sic Semper Tyrannis” ( Thus Always a Tyrant) and on the back of the shirt was a tree with the quote under it saying “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of Patriots and tyrants”

Mar. 16, 2013 at 2:13pmLet me tell you something about the media reports that morning when the Alfred P. Murrah building collapsed. I was working in a pharmacy when we all heard the first reports from CNN radio about what happened. An eyewitness said she found an olive green canister that had a hand grip on it and a pop-up site, lying in the street a block away from the building. The cannister was warm, and had military markings on it. She said a plain-clothes police officer grabbed it out of her hands and drove away with it. That report was on CNN radio twice that morning and was never broadcast again.

Where I despise your world view and your politics, I pity you for your ignorance and inability to ever win an argument here. What you clearly don’t realize is, no one sees you as a threat, or a credible opposing view point, they merely see you as an annoying gnat, or curiosity to be ridiculed for your foolishness. The fact that you seem to like being demeaned on a regular basis, leads me to believe perhaps you are paid to troll the Blaze, by some unknown source. You might actually be surprised at what type of person has ink. I’m college educated, a stay at home mom that is still married to my child’s father, I don’t drink or do drugs, and I have a number of tattoos. I’m not a part of a minority when it comes to having ink, there are many that have artwork on their bodies that is not visible when wearing everyday attire.

Why the father of US conservatism Barry Goldwater aka Mr. Conservative had one in the palm of his hand. Winston Churchill (conservative Party Leader etc..) had one…his mother even had a snake tattoo on her wrist. Many many conservative military personnel have them. Judge a person by their charachter….not what they wear , how they look, or if they have a tattoo or not. Does that mean we love silent people? Tattoos are not a reason to isolate people, nor is there a compelling reason to get them unless that is something you really, really, really, really want to do? Silence offends some, but not all people more than not saying anything?

To Timothy McVeigh the snake and “don’t tread on me” slogan meant murdering innocent people and children in order to provoke others to murders. Does it mean the the same to you? Does “don’t tread on me” carry the same immortal meaning of murder and mayhem and overthrowing the government that it meant to McVeigh, or does it have a different meaning?
If so, what?

That conservatives actually admire the freak? Believe the flag to mean ANY of what you wrote? LOL!!! I actually called my daughter about this one!

Yep, he was arrested kind of by accident for a traffic violation right after that. Same clothes. If he wasn’t trying to get away in such a hurry he might never have gotten caught.

The bombing happened April 19, 1995, at 9:02am and Timothy McVeigh was arrested at 10:20am the same morning while fleeing the scene.

Mar. 16, 2013 at 4:19pm“Timothy McVeigh was wearing a t-shirt with the “don’t tread on me” slogan and the curled up snake ready to strike when he murdered 168 innocent people including 19 children in a day care center in the worst domestic terrorist attack in US history.
And to you know the Government has deprived you of the right to buy large quantities of fertilizer without a background check and registration? Does that make you feel like your Constitutional rights have been violated by tyrants?” Send the Meteors

“The Oklahoma City bombing was a terrorist bomb attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.” – Wikipedia
Check out what Timothy McVeigh was really wearing the day of the bombing when he was arrested.

Send the Meteors says you would not believe the high falutin university where “it” received Its” degree.
I knew it was a lefty, but I never thought it would lie so blatantly.

Mar. 16, 2013 at 4:43pmSorry Monk. I was cruising by the list of Meteors last 10 lies was incensed at its’ brazen, pathological lie trying to link the Tea Party & Timothy McVeigh.
So I posted & say that you had already “done” taken care of business. Okay that is colloquial speech, but I like it.

I am really disappointed in STM. I thought they might have some intellectual heft & be able to argue the lefts point of view cogently. They claimed to have a degree from a premier university. Maybe they don’t after all or maybe that is precisely the problem. It is mis-educated.
As Michael Savage says “Liberalism is a mental disorder.” Some people have it worse than others. I am beginning to realize how sick it is.
I just don’t have your patience at putting up with its’ BS. I am just not monk material, yet.
They need to ban Meteors. This blood libel is just to brazen & penurious. I am mindful of what Rush says. We need to keep a liberal around in a Museum to remind ourselves of just how bad they are. So maybe we shouldn’t.

Mar. 16, 2013 at 6:36pmHi Walkabout,
You should know by now that the purpose of trolls is to get you excited and angry. Don’t fall for it. Just refute with facts and logic if you even need to refute at all. Their purpose is to get the topic of the story off course and diverted. Don’t fall for it. Have some fun with them and turn the tables. : )

I still think the get stories off topic. There were 4 or 5 stories about the Newton school tragedy in one day a while back. Somehow the trolls did not make it to one of them. Either they weren’t paid to be there (other stories had higher priority) or the unpaid ones simply cannot be everywhere at once.
Here is my point. The discussion was awesome. No sturm & drang. No name calling. I learned a lot about what people actually thought, copied stuff down, checked out links, etc.]
Two of our trolls are from New York. I have been there & there are things to do. I wonder how nice it is without money. They must be miserable people. They probably do not have money to go to the beach, plays to other things. So they troll.
I actually think some are die hard lefties trying to sway people or at least discredit others.

Mar. 16, 2013 at 11:12pmHey Monk. Do you mean McViegh wasn’t wearing a “Don’t tread on me” shirt? Okay, you’re right, I’m wrong. Maybe I was thinking that when he was arrested he had copy of the “Turner Diaries” the Bible of some.
Sorry, my error. You’ve corrected me. I apologize. And I hope all my fans here will forgive me.
I still think you’re a twit but hope things are okay :-)
Now back to slamming the right…
