2016 Hint? Ben Carson: ‘Say You Magically Put Me Into the White House…’

Getty Images
Will he?
Dr. Ben Carson seemed to drop several major hints about his political future in a speech to conservative activists Saturday morning, including with a hypothetical, “say you magically put me into the White House.”
The remark brought cheering audience members at the Conservative Political Action Conference to their feet and prompted a laughing Carson to put up his hands and say, “I take it back.”
The neurosurgeon, who shot to political fame after his headline-grabbing speech at the National Prayer Breakfast last month, had been talking about what he would do if he were trying to destroy the country: create division among citizens, create a culture of ridiculing morality and undermine the nation’s financial stability.
“It appears coincidentally that those are the things that are happening right now, and the question is how do we stop it?” Carson said.
During a Q&A after his speech, Carson said he was leaving medicine in 106 days to focus on other things. He has previously said he would retire this summer. He told CPAC attendees he wants to go out while still at the top of his game.
“There’s so many more things that can be done,” Carson said, adding that he is very dedicated to educating the next generation.
“Once we get that taken care of, who knows what I might do?” Carson said.
Carson’s full speech is below; his remarks begin at the 21:00 mark.

All Conservatives should embrace this man with open arms.
Mr. Carson operates on a level of common sense brillance, acceptable for anyone to understand AND
on a level of intelligence able to out smart & blow away those who THINK they are clever & smart.
Dr. Carson MUST be somewhere in the Rep/Conservative Administration – if not at the TOP of the list.

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 6:12pmLook, Ben Carson is a good man, no doubt about it. But, have we not had enough of “blacks gone wild” because their skin color is in the WH? They see the fact that a black man is President to go on all-out ape-like rampages against the snowman. Is there not a white guy that is conservative enough to be the President? Are all we are left with is whitey-hating minorities to run our govt?

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 6:37pmListen up people. I am network savvy, let us just leave it at that. The govt has somehow put in place systems that filter out any posts that criticize “those in DC”. All of my complete clean posts about their “behavior” are not reaching the server at the Blaze. They are attempting to quiet those that are calling them out. I am sure certain code words are being flagged and the post they are contained within is deep sixed. They do not want us to talk about their “activities”. It is real.

Posted on March 17, 2013 at 12:51pmMy hypothesis is confirmed. After watching the primaries I one thing: all you have to do to be a popular, if not front runner in the Republican party is criticize the President. Do that, and everybody thinks your real smart and qualified to be President yourself. That’s all that’s required.
My evidence? Look at the front runners in the last presidential primary. Herman Cain. Seriously? Herman Cain? And there he was after slamming the President, leading the pack. Rick Perry? Same. Gingrich? He was the front runner for awhile. Michelle Bachman?
That’s all it takes. Insult the President. You don’t need ideas or policies beyond broad, meaningless platitudes about taxes or whatever.
Now there’s this guy. He criticized the President. Now people think he ought to be President. That’s a really low bar. No wonder the country can’t function.

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 3:19pmI look at Ben Carson as part of a team that needs to take back the White House.
No one knows who can/will represent Conservatives within the Republican party as we move towards the mid-terms and then onto 2016. Whether it is at the top of the ticket or somewhere in the advocacy role, Ben Carson could be a terrific asset.
Conservatives need to work on having a complete team as opposed to a group of unproductive egos on stage that are infighting for political money as they sell their souls to the RINOs while they treat democrats as their social and socialist spiritual leaders.

If it were, young people would be able to see past the veneer of the Obama radicals whose divisive rhetoric and blame gaming are , at the core, inspired by hate . The Democrats are negative. Their cry for “change” merely masks the underlying message : we hate America and we will only love her if we can change her. Hate and division are never the signs of decent and functional leadership . Hate and division are the signs of an evil , despotic , angry leader.

I completely disagree with him on his views however, and he needs to learn why we have 2nd ammendment in the first place.
Another thing I disagree with him on his creepy idea in Take the Risk, where he suggests doing away with currency altogether, and doing all transactions using hand and eye scanners. He thinks this is a way to get rid of fraud. Way to Agenda 21/1984ish for my tastes. But I think its way to naive as well, think EMPs, hackers would still remain a threat, etc.

Even my most liberal of friends at hell holes like Ohio State or Georgetown no longer think Obama is “The Man” due to the fact that they can’t find decent jobs and are not as special as they have ben told their whole lives. Reality is the most sobering deterrent to progressivism. In the egocentric culture we have been raised in the worst thing that many college students can imagine is the prospect of failure. Success instead of social standing is what is considered “cool” when we get into the later years of our education, and as opportunity dries up for graduates who thought the bare minimum was enough, so does support for democrats.

I have been trying to think of foolproof ways to prevent voter fraud. Stamp ballots? Finger-print ballots? How do we keep people from voting more than once, and proving they are alive, and that person. When we find a a way that cannot be defeated, we will win. We might have to pull some last minute switcheroos. That would catch as good many of the cheats. It should be a mandatory 5 years for voter fraud, so they cannot vote in the next election.
Think of a way, contact your Secretary of State (if they are Republican).

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 2:52pmThe guy is a neurosurgeon, who lost several friends and family members to guns in the mean streets of detroit, and probably had to work on head wounds as well. That is alot of baggage, for someone, and probably influences his thoughts about guns in the cities.
That being said ya, I completely disagree with him on the position.
Also in the Take the Risk he suggests an idea for a moneyless society, that uses hand and eye scanners to do transactions. That was was written several years ago, but that is too freaky 1984ish of an idea to even contemplate… Besides the dangers of having such a system if the infrastructure is taken out, or possible Agenda 21 ramifications (what happens to people who live in remote areas with no direct access to any internet).

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 12:18pmBen Carson, in my eyes, is a LIVING HERO. He is a champion for righteousness. I sure hope he will run for President. I think the majority of Americans would vote for him. However, if the left doesn’t like him, THEY WILL TRY TO DESTROY HIM, so he needs ALL OUR PRAYERS for a long time.
Satan hates God’s people, especially conservative followers and Satan works through evil people who do not either know God, do not trust God, and/or who do not follow God. SATAN ALWAYS DECEIVES THOSE KINDS OF PEOPLE and they think they are right in their ideas and they think they are justified in their actions. AND, there are some people WHO CALL THEMSELVES ‘CHRISTIANS’, BUT WHO ARE NOT because they do not actually FOLLOW THE TENETS OF JESUS CHRIST (to love one another as Jesus loved you).
IT IS TIME TO TAKE AMERICA BACK. You either are FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS, or you are against righteousness. And if you are only half-way there, THEN YOU ARE AGAINST RIGHTEOUSNESS because God says that you are either FOR HIM OR AGAINST HIM. You cannot sit on the fence. IF YOU ARE UNDECIDED, YOU ARE AGAINST GOD.
If you want to help take America back, get involved in your local conservative clubs and venues, such as FreedomWorks.com. DO SOMETHING RIGHTEOUSLY CONSTRUCTIVE WITH YOUR LIFE THAT WILL COUNT WHEN YOU DIE. Life is short, but eternity is forever. WHOM WILL YOU SERVE IN THIS LIFE AND FOR ETERNITY? IT IS **YOUR** CHOICE.
GOD BLESS BEN CARSON.

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 12:29pmBen Carson/Rand Paul in 2016. If Carson is not the head of the ticket, he would cease to be of any relevance after the election and that would be such a waste of God’s gifts.

he doesn’t approve of their diplomacy tactics and thinks David Ben-Gurion was a terrorist.
I’m not on the same page as him on this issue- which is part of the reason i think he and Gowdy would balance each other well.

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 2:00pmWell… at least you’re honest INFECTION unlike the RP fluffers who would go to their grave trying to interpret RP’s Israel nonsense with the spin of a disco DJ playing Macho Man while believing the Village People were just good ol’ boys from JawJah or some crap…

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 2:32pmFully agree Slowman. Maybe he’ll get to do some travelling on his downtime and see what the world is like on the “outside”; plus talk to Palin and others separately. While I’m (for now) ok with Rand Paul, I’d prefer to see a former Governor in the mix.
