Madonna Chastises Boy Scouts Over Stance on Gays During GLAAD Awards…While Wearing This Bizarre Outfit

NEW YORK (TheBlaze/AP) — Wearing a replica of one of the organization’s uniforms, Madonna called on the Boy Scouts to lift its ban on gays while also calling for a “revolution” to prevent discrimination and abuse of the gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual community.

Speaking Saturday night at the GLAAD Media Awards, Madonna started off in a mischievous mood. She joked that she wanted to become a part of the Boy Scouts herself, but was turned down, even though she had the qualifications.

“I can build a fire. I know how to pitch a tent,” said Madonna, sporting a Boy Scouts troop leader hat and a blue shirt and shorts set that included replicas of Boy Scout badges.

“I can rescue kittens from trees. Most importantly, I know how to scout for boys,” she said, before adding, “I think they should change their stupid rules.”

The Boy Scouts of America does not permit openly gay people to serve in the organization — a decision that has come under increasing fire over the years.

Later, she got serious as she talked about the conflicts in the world and of the bullying of young gay, lesbian and transgender people.

“When I think about young kids in America who are being bullied and tortured, who are taking their own lives because they feel alone and judged, outcast and misunderstood, I want to sit down and cry a river of tears,” Madonna said.

Noting that she has teenagers herself, she said, “It’s an atrocity to me, I don’t accept it.”

Later she said, “I don’t know about you, but I can’t take this (expletive) anymore. That is why I want to start a revolution. It’s 2013 people. We live in America, land of the free and home of the brave? That’s a question, not a statement.”

Madonna was on hand to give the Vito Russo Award to CNN anchor Anderson Cooper. She lauded Cooper for standing up for the rights of others.

Also honored by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation was the NBC musical series “Smash,” the documentary “How To Survive a Plague,” and “The Amazing Race.” Brett Ratner was also given the Ally Award — a turnaround from 2011, when the organization condemned the director for using an anti-gay slur, and he stepped down from a plan to direct the 2012 Academy Awards in the ensuing controversy.

Since then, Ratner has worked with the organization and made a public service announcement to promote equality.

The Boyscouts and any other group that has policies against allowing homosexuals into the organization are simply taking a stand based on their convictions. That is NOT bullying as she implies. She is controlling the conversation and presenting a fallacy. Don’t argue about bullying because they are not being bullied.

  I saw Madonna in an interview about the Superbowl..calling it the holy of holies in the US and that she was presenting the message..like Beyonce..I don’t have Madonna’s performance.,,but last years I am sure can be googled..It is suggested that she is of the illuminati just as Beyonce..who flashes the Freemason symbol at the Superbowl this year..There are many performers and moviestars who have sold their souls to Lucifer and the NWO..

  Did Madonna mention anything about gays being 2.5% of the population but doing 1/3 of the nation’s child molestations?
  
  Did she say anything about recent info released from the boy scouts, where gay men traveled from state to state, after being ousted by the scouts for violating young boys?
  
  Did she mention the fact that gays are a tiny percent of the population, but carry 64% of the nation’s syphilis, made up 57% of new HIV cases last year, or that they have the highest suicide, and drug and alcohol abuse rates?
  
  Did she talk about the fact that lesbians have the highest domestic assault rates?

  Hey, I have a long-term plan for ya. It’s called EQUALITY FOR ALL.
  We hold these truths to be self-evident – that ALL men (and women) are created equal.
  Yup. That was said/written in OUR Declaration of Independence OVER 200 YEARS AGO – and yet we STILL are having a real hard time getting such implemented into our society.
  Equality for blacks (and other races – and religions)? When did that come about? Many would argue it still has NOT come about. Certainly not fully. (My bet is you argue for prayer in our public schools. Do you seek equality of prayer ‘time’ for ALL religions? …including Islam? Buddhism? Others? )
  Equality for women? Are women paid the same for doing the same jobs as men? What about women being able to move into positions of authority? Their equality in the military?
  Equality for LGBTs? There is movement in the correct(ive) direction I believe but… Like with the others – a great deal still needs to be done.
  That whole: All men are created equal…

  Heterosexual males have the highest rates of Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis, and several other diseases. They also have by far the highest rates of child abuse and rape. Should they be banned from Scouts as well?
  
  And finally, no country has fallen as a result of homosexuality. I could make the same argument that every empire that has embraced Christianity or heterosexuality has fallen. This point is not only outright false, it is also just plain stupid.
  
  If you have any other ignorant, bigoted thoughts as to why gay scouts should not be allowed, by all means, let us hear! But perhaps you should consider the fact that allowing gay scouts and leaders will have no major impact on the organization at all, and that this policy is discriminatory and against scouting principles.

  Ironically she has encapsulated what’s wrong with liberal corruption of morality and freedom in our country. It’s due to their misguided philosophy that we can now ask it as a question rather than rest assured the statement is true.
  
  Only now with liberalism being so popular do we hear people questioning whether the Boy Scouts have the freedom to act on their brave stand on godly morals and responsibility to protect the kids entrusted to their care.

  zapparules “all men are created equal” is a biblical quote. That is to say, it’s a Christian ideal, and was not invented by the hard left. It implies women, as well, so it’s not necessary to say “all men and women”. You don’t have a “right” to marriage, it is a privilege that society has created over centuries. It was designed by men – and women who were, apparently, a lot smarter than you pompous leftists. Repeat, marriage is NOT a right. And I’d like to thank Madonna for degrading the English language just a little bit more. Pretending it’s “bullying” to not allow queers to join the Boy Scouts only reminds us that the idiot left have controlled our schools for decades without doing ANYTHING about actual bullying.

  Does simply witnessing something cause harm? Does it cause one to then perform such atrocity?
  We have all ‘witnessed’ the atrocities some Catholic priests have committed on young boys. Are we all harmed by that – in some way more likely to perform or allow such atrocities to continue?
  
  Explain how someone raised by same sex parents can still become ‘normal’. (I am sure there are not many – but I am sure there are some children of gay parents that do not believe in same sex marriage and the like.)
  
  So is it normal that god created ‘man’ in his own image and that for some of those ‘men’… As they grow from children to adults question their sexual identity? …unsure why they are doing so.
  Unsure to the point – and often supplemented with hatred from some others – to the point that some of these young men and women feel so much pain about such uncertainty that they kill themselves.
  Is that ‘normal’?
  If only those young kids were normal and accepted without question what their sexual orientation HAS TO BE (according to you and some others).

  I thought I already brought up the point that no one really knows how many people are gay. I could cite several studies that claim homosexuals to be at 11-15% of the population. But those are just as much guessing as your 3% claim. But this also doesn’t change the fact that straight men have higher rates of chlamydia, hepatitis, and other diseases. You see, some diseases are more prevalent in the gay community and some are more prevalent in the straight community. That doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with either group. We just need to promote safe sex and work to find cures (like what has recently been discovered for HIV). Gays are no more diseases and wicked than straight people. And gays do not prey on or recruit children and more than straight people. Actually the idea of “recruiting” is impossible, and even laughable. Try some actual facts instead of the ignorance and hatred you keep posting.

  @ZAPPA I agree that it is a sad thing for a child to kill themselves because they are messed up about their sexual identity..The thing about this world is it will never be perfect until the millenial reign of Christ..there will be no sin in that world..at least until the end when Lucifer is loosed and the rebellious children born of that reign will follow Lucifer.. But if we teach our children properly here..it is imperative to teach them that Lucifer tempts us in our thoughts..and we must be able to recognise that and reject those thoughts and realize that they are not of us..but coming to us..You see Zappa..I knew a man who went to a shrink to determine if he was gay..the shrink asked him which sex he dreamed about and he said females..and the shrink said..okay..you aren’t gay..But I propose to you..that this is the kind of teaching that does man harm..It is common for Satan to approach man in his dreams..the dream does not make the man…Children should be taught what sin is and to reject that sin ..to teach him otherwise is to give Satan open range..To learn the ways of Jesus/Yeshua

IT IS TIME TO STOP, this is why we are in the mess we are in today !   BSA has a “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Our mission has nothing to do with open sexuality. If they want the benefits that come from Scouting, a gay youth can simply restrain himself. Keeping oneself “…morally straight…” means that heterosexual kids need to restrain their sexuality as well. Homosexuals, who are not interested in restraining themselves, can join their own organization, The Baden Powell Service Association. They can also join Campfire, which is no longer Camp Fire Girls. and at least 5 other organizations similar to the BSA. It is not enough for the gay community that homosexuals be accepted, they want for homosexuality to be embrace.

  The problem with that sort of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy is that it invariably discriminates against gays. Have any straight scouts been kicked out or denied an earned rank because someone found out they had a girlfriend? Has anyone been forced out because he was talking about girls? No, of course not. But if a scout dates a boy, he is thrown out right away. Even if it had nothing to do with scouting at all. This sort of policy leads to homophobic leaders seeking out gay scouts to find proof and throw them out. We saw the same thing in the military. There is nothing immoral about an innate physical attraction you have no control over. But there is something very immoral about discriminating against a group based on an inborn trait that they cannot choose.

  Did you notice how the genius tried to replace the word “submissive” with the word “subserviant”? That was on purpose folks. He knows better or he is genuinely stupid and doesn’t know the verse in THE SAME BOOK where Paul tells married couples “submit yourself one to the other”. The man is the leader as Christ was the leader but, what did Christ do? He served and died for the church (His Bride). It’s day 1 Sunday school stuff there ZAPPA.   Just read Philemon. Sorry – didn’t really do much for me with respect to clearly defining god’s position on/against slavery. Me thinks God might want to make a very clear statement on such a matter. Especially since such was so prevalent during those times – and through today! (Slavery is STILL a huge issue / business today. So many are literally slaves – like in the sex slave industry – as well as so many as slaves to the almighty dollar. Not to mention those that abuse – ‘enslave’ workers by controlling so much of their means to an independent life. But I digress… )
  Slavery was and is an imbedded ‘institution’ in the history of man yet… God fails to clearly define a position on such – ???
  
  I’m not going to get into any argument with an obvious biblical scholar so…
  
  My argument is simple. We are ALL created equal.
  My questions… Explain why gays should be banished from the BSA.
  Explain why young men, being challenged (by God?) with determining their sexuality should be thrown out of the BSA.
  Is that the ‘treatment’ (punishment) for such individuals – as defined by God?

  I think Madonna should take singing lessons. That being said, I have always thought that so-called celebrities should not assume that just because they have great name recognition that their words and opinions should count more than the rest of us. If you really believed that God created all men equal, more than likely you wouldn’t be defending a policy that is in direct violation of that equality. If all men were created equal, according to your logic, I should be gay too. ALL MEN should be gay if your logic was true. Your logic for this discussion is flawed. God created ALL men equal. SOME men CHOSE to be gay. God chose to destroy their city because of THEIR CHOICE. No one is born gay. We all are born with sexual desires because God wants us to continue having babies. Name two men who have had sex and produced a child as a result. Two women having sex and one getting pregnant from the encounter? Ok, so some kids/teens have been bullied throughout human existence. It sucks. Kids can be really mean! How much worse is it now when absolutely every school in the US drones on and on about Zero Tolerance for bullying? It’s probably happening less frequently now than ever but we have to hear about every single instance. And Heaven forbid a young person who identifies with the LGBT lifestyle feels bullied!!! Of course they feel victimized when every stupid celebrity who trades in their exploitation tells them they are being targeted! Insanity!

And the reason why an organization that has as one of its precepts that its members strive to be “morally straight” is supposed to listen to this immoral bimbo is? I think the Boy Scouts have paid out enough in legal expenses over the actions of a few closeted gay leaders, why should they set themselves up for even more lawsuits by allowing openly gay ones? Exactly who wants to risk having their prepubescent son walk in on a couple of gay scoutmasters having at it in a tent during a camp out? They don’t allow straight couples to go on camp outs. How would they stop gays from doing so?

Back in the early 70′s in my group she was known as Mike. Very strange young man, would sing himself to sleep. Often wet the sleeping bag……and he smelled. Often chewed on dirt and picked his nose, when I found out he got a sex change and changed his name to Madonna. It didn’t surprise me. Its fame kind of blew me away. There’s no reason why there can’t be gayscouts and lesbian girlscounts as separate organizations, but scouting doesn’t seem to be the issue with these people.
Sex is. And that isn’t the mission of the Boy Scouts. So far as I know, those who don’t preoccupy themselves with same sex attraction aren’t barred. There’s a reason or two why teen aged boys are not sent camping with teen aged girls. Why would it be any different for these two groups?
