Former Top Obama Aide on Obamacare: Implementation Will Be ‘Messy’, But ‘We’ll End Up in a Better Place’
The official debut of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, known as “Obamacare,” is less than 10 months away and officials who helped develop it are now warning that its implementation will be “messy.”
During a Center for American Progress seminar on Obamacare, Jeffery Crowley, a former top Obama aide who had a hand in crafting the Affordable Care Act, said “we know it’s going to be messy,” according to Washington Secrets.
“There are going to be things that come up that are unanticipated,” he explained.
Washington Secrets’ Paul Bedard has more details:
Discussing…the law’s impact on HIV/AIDS and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, the president’s former director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy and senior advisor on disability policy added, “if we do everything we can possibly think of, it’s still going to be a messy transition, but we’ll end up in a better place.”
Added Kali Lindsey, director of legislative and public affairs at the National Minority AIDS Council, “one of the realities of the Affordable Care Act is that everything is not going to be perfect when it’s implemented on day one.”
One element of confusion will be providing healthcare to immigrants. Undocumented workers were not covered by Obamacare, but federal officials are rushing to win approval of immigration reform that will expand coverage to illegals.
The following graphic put together by McClatchy Newspapers provides an idea of when upcoming Obamacare regulations will go into effect:

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:21amDon’t you like lib explanations. Obamacare will be ‘messy’. It is a complete and utter disaster for this country and it will be used by obama and people like him to control and blackmail the people. For instance,…if you own a gun…then they will go up on your insurance. Publicly degrade obama….and suddenly there is some ‘mistake’ with your healthcare. Obama is a socialist disaster and when he is finally arrested, most of the democrat party should be arrested with him.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:18amNo amount of health care will save you when meteors push radioactive waste into the atmosphere like a bouncing betty land mine commonly found in Vietnam?
Number one, you can’t buy health insurance from the internet, because “consumer protection laws” ensure someone explains to you the insurance jargon created specifically to make it hard to get an occupation in that very lucrative industry, you have to buy from an insurance agent?
Is it going to be “messy” when Google, in order to save its spy projects, create glasses that are impossible to determine the difference from common sun or eye glasses? Imagine insurance companies saying, here, wear these glasses, we will give you a discount? But there is no such thing as a discount, or else car insurance rates would cover medical conditions because the industry is so effective at budgeting money?
If the insurance industry was so effective, the astronomical amounts of funding spent on car insurance, would be reducing standard medical insurance? Then that goes into the savings discussion, what is more profitable for the insurance industry, universal products with liquid value you can use for loan collatoral for medical and other risks (home, life, car, etc.), or allow “lobbyists” to mandate separate lines?
Oh, that’s too complicated, lets talk about the minimum wage? Or are all these “trade secrets” and you just have to keep silent, don’t ask questions?
