Hillary Clinton Endorses Gay Marriage: ‘Personally and as a Matter of Policy and Law’

Reversing course on her previous stance against same-sex marriage, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has come out in support of gay matrimony. She announced her decision on Monday in a nearly six-minute video that was released by the Human Rights Campaign.

“For America to continue leading in the world, there is work we must do at home,” Clinton said in the clip, citing the need to invest in national security and other domestic needs — and also to live up to ideals associated with the rights of gays and lesbians.

“LGBT Americans are our colleagues, our teachers, our soldiers, our friends, our loved ones — and they are full and equal citizens and deserve the rights of citizenship,” Clinton continued. “That includes marriage.”

Political observers will likely cite the Democratic Party’s shift toward advocating gay marriage for her reversal, with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and others joining in on affirming their belief that same-sex unions should be legal. Clinton is the latest to join this chorus.

It should also be noted that her embrace of gay marriage would likely be needed before launching interest in a 2016 presidential bid, seeing as her party has so fervently advocated for the cause. Like Obama, who endorsed same-sex marriage leading into the 2012 race, Clinton alluded to an “evolution” of sorts.

“Like so many others my personal views have been shaped over time by people I have known and loved, by my experience representing our nation on the world stage, my devotion to law and human rights and the guiding principles of my faith,” she said. “Marriage, after all, is a fundamental building block of our society. A great joy, and yes, a great responsibility.”

While questions continue to surround a potential 2016 run, no definitive announcements have been made. This endorsement, though, is sure to continue sparking curiosities about Clinton’s intentions. As Politico notes, her husband, Bill, and daughter, Chelsea, had previously embraced gay marriage.

By the way, when are Democrats going to protect minorities who believe in the Bill of Rights? I believe 99% of Americans believe in the Bill of Rights, but lets for the sake of argument, pretend that those who believe in the Bill of Rights are being denied?

Is the Bill of Rights false advertising, because what those rights do, is tell government what it can’t do? At first the Democrats came after the people who did not have car insurance, and I did not care? Then the Democrats came after those who flew on airplanes, and I did not care? Then the Democrats came after the people who did not have health insurance and I did not care?

Then the Democrats started talking about your 401K, while dominating the conversation with the removal of guns and gay marriage, and I did not care? They took my money and gave it to the IMF and Muslim Nations and the UN, and I did not care?

At some point, the world is going to ask Americans, what do you care about?

Any time Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the boys get a couple days worth of Good Old Boy journalism explaining what Obama Care is going to do to young people, the Democrats retaliate with what, 4 million reports to low information voters about “the freedom of gays” and how the nasty Republicans want to deny people freedom?

Well, how do you sell that, unless the Pope is silent? How do you sell that, unless Mormans are silent? Methodists, First Baptists, Jimmy Swaggert, Joel Osteen, Pat Buchanan, Billy Graham? Oh, that’s just not important? You mean like abortion is not important? Be fruitful and multiply, by the way, teacher unions need raises? We need the best and brightest in government, and more research?

How? You people don’t even force people to learn English, I can’t even tell what country I live in if I turn on the TV? Am I Chinese, American or Spanish? Well of course they don’t care, if they can’t speak English, they can’t get into politics, just like you can’t get into politics if they have certain pictures and videos of you and your recreational activities?

Rush Limbaugh is convinced Republicans are being attacked for being “too restrictful”? The only time the left ramps up an attack, such as the attack using gays, are when influential conservatives, take up the issue to try to remove it from the table? If you were explaining Obama Care the way you should be, gay marriage is not an issue?

Cher, Madonna, Hillary. All high profile women are idols to queer queens. They glorify them, adore them, emulate them, write to them and are their base of fans. Cher’s only base of fans are all ghey, hence..Chasity became perverted, no father figure and all the adoring gheys around her mother. I remember years ago it was said that ghey men came from homes where the mother was dominate over a weak father figure. How ever this mental deviance is initiated, and becomes an acting out of perverted behavior, these physical manifestations of glorifying sexual acts above the higher consciousness of G-d is a grave sickness and against the first commandment of G-d. And marriage defined as and marriage works as a building block is a joining of man and woman into a family unit under the protection of the law….When you change that definition you have just change the building block of society!!! A wise man builds his house upon a rock foundation and a foolish man builds his house on a sand foundation….one stands and can weather the storms, the other falls……leave marriage and family definition alone!!!

Surprise, Surprise another gay marriage article on the Blaze. Wow, I think they waited one whole day between pro-sodomy posts this time. Funny, I have seen almost daily articles on new supporters of gay marriage, but none on the millions of Christians who will not be moved. I have not seen any articles about Conservatives who say that they will not allow the whims of sinful man to turn them from the laws of God. Come on, Hilary Clinton supporting perversion is news? Really? The Blaze has apparently gone from covering conservative/libertarian news and views to a vehicle for pushing Glenn Beck’s personal ideology on conservatives. What a shame.

Okay Hillary the only problem is to people of the same sex can’t be married; different definition.
That said, lets assume Marriage can be between people of the same sex….its to bad for them that this great joy dies with them because after all their marriage is not capable of passing its genetics on.

  Having lived in places with high percentages of such groups, I think you have missed the point of the homosexual lifestyle.
  
  It is primarily about extreme promiscuity. I’ve occasionally known the rare homosexual “couple”, but they don’t last because the lifestyle is anything but monogamous. Because the lifestyle itself is not compatible with the idea of two people, forsaking all others, it’s not even logical for them to try to get married. In those countries where it’s been legal, the average is 2 years before “divorce”.
  
  The real reason for the push for “marriage” is acceptance. As long as I can remember, it’s been normal practice for homosexuals to demand this or that, then getting what they want, then to demand more. It comes of the heart— their consciences are bothering them and they are seeking outside affirmation of their decisions.
  
  As history has shown, as well as today’s violent crime rates among that group, it’s not a viable lifestyle. The violence inherent in the lifestyle alone should prevent its endorsement by our Democrats. It’s not acting in love to endorse a violent lifestyle.
  
  The bullying of others by homosexuals has been all but ignored. Victim and victimizer are often reversed. It’s become normal for homosexuals to sexually harass others in schools and workplaces because they can. That says something.

  That is what it comes down to, ultimately. Every argument for or against falls in the face of what God said about it. It’s human arrogance to assume we can somehow do something the Lord forbids and not reap the consequences we are seeing in homosexual areas with violent crime, domestic violence, disease, and so on. Merely because something is being pushed, does not change the intrinsic nature of that thing that is pushed.

This really seems pertinent to the Sec of State Office.
Hopefully, some of the people killed in Benghazi were gay and wanted to be married so now their families can finally find peace with what happened there under this Sec of States watch.

Marriage between a MAN and WOMAN….let’s be clear on that.

Human reproduction must be present in order to even have a society to build upon therefore marriage between two men or two women cannot build up a society-only tear it down. Marriage between a man and woman is by God’s design and when men try to redesign Gods plans, only destruction can come from it.

If only she felt the same about private gun ownership…

Gay marriage isn’t against the law anywhere. Gay couples can easily get married in any state. They simply need to find someone willing to perform the ceremony. Government acknowledgement of those marriages is the issue not the legality of them. They are not illegal which makes them by default legal.
