The Live On Air Surprise Marriage Proposal This News Anchor Didnt See Coming

Jillian Pavlica, a news anchor for WZDX-TV in Huntsville, Ala., this weekend got the surprise of her life when her boyfriend proposed to her live on the air. Pavlica thought she was bringing the station’s audience some “breaking news” but she was really setting the stage for her marriage proposal.

“We’ve got breaking news to share with you tonight,” she said, reading from the teleprompter. “FOX54 has just learned that a Huntsville news anchor is being proposed to on live TV right now.”

Once she made it to the word “proposed,” Pavlica began putting the pieces together. Then her boyfriend, Vince, made his way to the set and got on bended knee to ask her the big question.

And she said “yes.”

  PROGRESSIVESLAYER, This was not a smart move on his part at all. So, I think that you are right. He tried to control the outcome with this seemingly romantic set up. Did anybody actually catch her response. Something to the effect of, I’ll say yes, because you don’t want me to say okay. In my opinion this is not destined to be a happy marriage, and if that is the way it heads. Then, and only for that reason, I do hope they call it off. If they do follow through and get married, I do wish them well.

  As one who has passed from marriage through more than one divorce; I agree the odds are not in favor of a life long marriage. Too many marry for the physical reasons and not the spiritual lasting reasons. Good luck to them both and I hope for the best.

If she REALLY wanted to make some kind of interesting news story, she would have said no.
Then, maybe, propose to him. That would still not be newsworthy, but better than this.

Kind of a douche move similar to the big screen at a ballgame. She’s hot, but man is she an ugly crier. Some girls sound cute when crying tears of joy, she sounded like a wounded animal

I foresee the (relatively small) LGBT community calling for homosexual marriage proposals like this also. We have a male homosexual weatherman here in the Tampa Bay area.

Meanwhile… in Europe, stripper news anchors are forced to include gays also. (end sarcasm)
