‘Bullied’ By Atheists? Former SNL Star Takes Heat for Saying He Believes in God, Scriptures
Comedian Norm Macdonald found himself in atheists’ cross-hairs on Monday night after he sent a series of tweets affirming his belief in God and scripture. Non-believers, clearly appalled that he joins the majority in embracing the notion of a higher power, quickly responded to his religiosity with angst and annoyance.

Macdonald, who was once a cast member on “Saturday Night Live,” inevitably deleted the exchanges he had on Twitter, but not before Twitchy documented some of the back-and-forth.
The situation began when on Sunday when the comedian responded to a tweet about the PGA and bible scripture.
“Is the PGA tour becoming the bible club of pro sports norm? Cuz this guy just said on Nat. TV he read scriptures today! Wtf?,” wrote Twitter user sypher1960.
Macdonald responded, “What’s surprising about that? Don’t most people study the scriptures?” and later added, “I think most people study the scriptures. Most people seem smart to me.”
Some atheists, non-believers — and others who rejected these words — responded. Here’s a sampling of a few of the tweets that Macdonald received (caution: language).
As for the latter message, Macdonald responded, writing, “That’s about as stupid a comment as I’ve ever heard.” But at least one other critic of religion got in on the mix, writing, “Religion has also caused more human deaths than any one thing ever.”
Macdonald was less-than-persuaded, responding that heart disease is naturally a bigger killer.
“You cannot be that stupid. It is impossible,” the comedian added. “Must be joking.”

Inevitably, Macdonald ended up removing the posts (perhaps to end the debate that came to fruition). Big Hollywood said that the comedian was “bullied into silence for being religious,” although we can’t be quite sure why he removed the messages (or even if he feels the need to be silent).
Regardless, there are still some tweets in his feed from this month that do, indeed, mention religious themes. In fact, he wrote a message about Pope Francis on March 13 and again on the 16th:
Despite detractors, in the end, the comedian also had his share of supporters. As always, it’s interesting — and disheartening — to see someone take heat simply for saying he or she is religious.
But, as a public figure, Macdonald’s stance gives him more attention and influence than the average citizen — something non-believers likely lament.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:50pmI think to believe in no creator is ludicrous. Where in the universe do we ever see matter just appearing? We live in a world that was created, this is obvious.
Now you may say there is a creator but no personal God, that is something intelligent people can discuss.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:30pmStop arguing with the atheists, even if you show them the proof that God exists such as the discovery of where Moses Parted the Red Sea (Gulf of Aqaba) http://www.arkdiscovery.com/red_sea_crossing.htm, or the actual mountain if God complete with the Mound where they put the Golden calf, the split rock, the barrier Moses was instructed to put around the mountain, the Cave, the sacrificial alter he was instructed to build, and all the other things in the bible, all still there, http://www.arkdiscovery.com/mt__sinai_found.htm, they will not, they cannot see the truth! And the current warning signs he is now giving us like the day Obama was elected, the Illinois state lottery, his home state, the pick three was 666 and the pick four was 7779 http://www.illinoislottery.com/en-us/winning-number-search-year.html#! They could never fathom what is coming as all they only understand sports or porn and would never know that 666 = The mark of the beast, that 777 = God’s perfection, and that 9 = Judgment http://carm.org/what-biblical-numerology. Allow me to spell that that out for everyone: 6667779 “The Anti-Christ, God’s perfect Judgment!” If they don’t understand the bible, they cannot see what is happening right before their eyes, because they are blinded by ignorance!! By the way, who did Satan in the new Miniseries “The Bible” resembles http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/03/18/watching-the-bible-on-history-channel-did-satan-remind-you-of-anyone/? Just saying!

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:51pmNone of that is “proof” of god. I understand that such sites make things appear to be “evidence”, but their interpretations needed to veryify their bias. A few artifacts found and that’s supposed to be compelling?
Let’s be reasonable. Are you aware how long it would even take a large group of walkers to even get to the Red Sea? Do you understand the number fo miles there are from Egypt to there? The bible makes it sound like Pharoah quickly changed his mind and sent out his chariots, . . . when in reality, it would have been weeks later, maybe months. Just to get a bunch of “slaves” back [when evidence shows that there were never slaves to that extent in Egypt at that time]?
Not convinced with your links. . . . . . . I know . . I know, . . . I’m “given over to my reprobate mind”. . . . as are those in the scientific community, who find evidence against your stories. This isn’t an attack against you. It is what it is and why I tend to believe the evidences found by working geologist, anthropologists, archeologist, and even biblical studies departments.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:29pmI have to say “there is no god”. It isn’t an absolute. There may be, but the evidence isn’t with the “god claim”. Why is it “stupid”, when evidence shows a very natural world with no evidence of “the supernatural”? I would call that being honest!
@DeavonRAye:
No evidence of the Supernatural? Get out much? You just keep believing in Ape Poo and Current Apes NOT evolving into MEN and Big Gas Bangs and HOAXES of fossils and Non existent Transitional Fossils and WE will just keep believing in our MYTH of the SKY GOD, okay? To each his own.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 12:35pmProvide evidence for “the supernatural”, Liz.
And what does this have to do with evolution? Especially since you refuse to even accept the notion that your information is pseudo-scientific at best, a breech of the 9th commandment at worst? Even IF evolution was firmly disproved tomorrow and ALL scientists agreed, . . . that doesn’t automatically make your religion factual.
FWIW, . . . I don’t really care about the whole evolution topic. It is a non-issue with me.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 3:07pmDEAVONREYE… Supernatural cannot be proven, it also cannot be disproven. Who’s to say that the existance of space, matter, time is natural or supernatual? Fact is the real science is on the side of LIZ… There is no scientific proof of microbes to man, fairytales. The fossil record isn’t kind to the evo theory, the science of genetics, DNA, information, the laws of deterioration, etc.etc… The existance of one particle of matter, the existance of life, the existance of consiousness, are out of reach of present day science. Don’t hold your breath waiting for a natural scientific explanation. I can see why you think evolution is a non issue with you however.

Posted on March 19, 2013 at 4:57pmLiz stated having evidence of the supernatural. I’m waiting for her to give it. If you say “you can’t prove it”, then don’t offer it up as “something that we all should know but are denying”.
My question has nothing to do with whether or not evolution theory, DNA sequenced data, or any other information used by evolutionary and micro biologists are correct or not. Even if they are not, that doesn’t make your supernatural claims [therefore] true.

How come these proselytizers don’t enlighten the Middle East with their wisdom and start bullying the local imams into silence. Surely, if Jesus was a mythical figure and the 10 Commandments have no relevance to the development of a civilized existence, then the rantings of a drug-addicted cat lover should not be used as the basis for law anywhere, right? The American Atheist Society cheered loudly when former SNL Star Norm McDonald removed all references to “God” and “Scripture” from his Twitter Account Tweets successfully ending their bullying campaign against the former Atheist/Agnostic that had somehow converted to the “white man’s religion” some time after his stint on the popular Saturday Night Propaganda for the Left Show had ended.
In honor of such a defeat they:
1. flung ape poo at each other from their own butts

4. ate copious amounts of bananas
5. put on clown suits and rode unicycles around the block

Christ Driven or Southern Democrat Controlling HUMAN Rights? Middle East That has Got o be a Christ Driven thing right? or again Maybe its Anti- Christ Driven (and Anti- Christ isn’t used in the method of Apologetics but in literal against form) So the Atheists far more Align themselves to the Death and Kill side than they do the Christian side. Both atheism and pastoral (see sharpton, jackson, wright) endeavors are being used to further radical agendas. They are ruses. If someone doesn’t believe in God, they just go about their business not believing in God. “pastors” or ‘reverends’ don’t go around as activists spewing alinsky radical propaganda.
Both are being used as a ruse.

How Is Annulment Different From Divorce?
An annulment is a decree that a marriage was invalid from its outset. Whereas a divorce brings a valid marriage to an end, an annulment is a legal decree that effectively undoes the marriage, such that in the eyes of the law the marriage did not ever exist.
expertlaw.com/library/family_law/annulment.html
Religious Annulments
Within the Roman Catholic Church, a couple may obtain a religious annulment after obtaining a civil divorce, so that one or both people may remarry, within the church or anywhere else, and have the second union recognized by the church. The grounds for annulments in the Catholic Church are different than for civil annulments.
