Incredible Story of Man Who Blew Himself Up in His Truck Injuring 2 People Done for ‘Revenge’

Personnel from Patton Volunteer Fire. Company search for survivors of a house explosion in Clearfield Township, Cambria County, Pa. State police, firefighters and the coroner were investigating after one person was killed and two were injured in the explosion outside a western Pennsylvania house.
A western Pennsylvania man who blew himself up in a truck outside a house and injured two people inside did it for “revenge” according to the Johnstown, Pa. Tribune-Democrat.
Police say 40-year-old Bradley Kollar of Hastings, Pa. skipped a court date Tuesday morning and instead loaded his truck with explosives and drove to the home of William Shaner in Clearfield Township. The massive 9 a.m. explosion was felt from miles away and left the site “looking like a war zone,” including leveling the residence, according to the newspaper.
Shaner was in critical condition as of Tuesday night. A male teenager who was also in the home at the time of the blast was in unknown condition, according to the Altoona Mirror. Two other children were believed to have just left for school.
“I believe both of those victims were transported by ground EMS units to a local medical facility for treatment of the injuries they sustained,” Trooper John Matchik told the Mirror. “We are treating this as a criminal investigation at this point.”
The coroner ruled Kollar’s death a suicide.
Sources told the Tribune-Democrat that Kollar thought Shaner had “snitched” on him and his father, 64-year-old John Kollar. Bradley Kollar had been due in court on charges of running a chop shop and a meth lab from his family’s property, the newspaper reported.

Authorities have not released an official motive, according to the Mirror.
According to the Tribune-Democrat, bits of building material and paper were seen hundreds of yards from the scene hours after the blast, which was initially reported as a meth lab explosion.
‘Everything is under investigation right now,” Matchik told WTAJ-TV.

Yes, you could do something for us. Please, let us know if there is an effort to impeach the judge and who the judge is.
Can they impeach judges in Pennsylvania? Was this a federal case? If it was a federal case then Congress needs to impeach this judge.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Posted on March 20, 2013 at 3:42pmIt was the county DA who tried to revoke the bail, so I would assume it was a county judge too. I am not sure which judge it was or what the impeachment proceedings would be. I’ll find out. But they do have to run for election every 10 years.

Posted on March 20, 2013 at 2:13pmHe tried to blow himself up shortly after his release from the arrest for the chop shop/meth lab situation, but it didn’t explode. The Cambria County DA tried to get his bail revoked due to the attempt, but the judge refused.
This happened in a very rural area, which is why the casualites were confined to this property. But this guy had no regard for others. Even if it happened in the nearby small town of Patton, dozens of people would have been killed due to this guy’s selfish obsession with revenge.

I originally read the victim’s name as “William Shatner” and almost freaked out!
That said, isn’t the title a little odd? I’m not sure that a suicide bomber’s story is “incredible.”

Such incendiary headlines. Strike the first three words. There is nothing incredible here. Apparently this WAS a mentally immature criminal. Every time some wack job does something outrageous we get to know all the details of said criminal….next we will find out this creep had crabs and they survived!
What about the day to day heroes that prevent such tragedies?

Posted on March 20, 2013 at 1:24pmHere is the question that begs to be answered: Why was there not a law against loading your vehicle with explosives and detonating them in front of someone’s house?
If only there had been a law…we wouldn’t be reading this today.
They really need to consider a ban on detonating cars loaded with explosives.

I can’t say the problem is solved unless it was a one man operation.
I can’t say the problem is solved. Did he find a life of crime easier initially, more profitable or he felt that he could not find a job.

Posted on March 20, 2013 at 3:51pmHouses that are for sale have been broken into to steal copper. Near Pittsburgh, somebody cut a gas line and blew himself up doing this not that long ago.
People also managed to take down an entire cell phone tower and cut it up for scrap in one night in the area too a year or two ago. It is a very strange time around this area.
The guy who killed those 3 people (including the lady decorating a church for Christmas) on Myan Apocolypse day was not far from here, either.

Posted on March 20, 2013 at 2:24pmHe did this shortly before 9:00am. There was a 2-hour school delay, so a group of kids had been standing near the property waiting for the bus only moments earlier. This could have been very, very bad. I have no idea if it was divine intervention or not, but it’s fortunate that this guy was only good at making bombs but not very effective in using them the way that he intended.
