The Reactions of Two Men Watching a Childbirth Video Will Have You Crying — From Laughter

Earlier this year, two European TV hosts showed us just how men react when they try to re-enact feeling some of the pain women experience in childbirth.

Now, two other men have filmed their reactions while just watching a birth video. The result is hilarious.

The video starts off with one of the young men expressing his slight exasperation before the video starts that it’s four minutes long. To which the other responds, ” you can’t give birth in a minute.”

We’ve paired some of the gentlemen’s choice quotes from the footage with their screenshots of reactions for your enjoyment, but be sure to watch the full video that we’ve posted at the end.

Man 1: “Wait, what? She’s standing? No. …She’s standing and giving birth.” Man 2: “What a champ.”(Image: YouTube screenshot)

Man 1: “Is it just going to fall out of her?” Man 2: “No, they’re going to catch it. …at least put a pillow, you know you gotta have a spotter.”

Other good lines:

  • Man 1: “How do you stand that?”
  • Man 2: “I am now a feminist.”
  • Man 2: “Dude, I don’t want to know what’s on the other end of that umbilical cord inside of her. I think her heart is connected to it.”

After only witnessing these few minutes of childbirth, both men admit that they don’t think they would be able to be in the delivery room in the future. And yet, Man 1 says “Let’s watch another.”

Here’s the footage (Content warning: some strong language and conversation that might be considered graphic):

    Too staged.

These 2 guys say …OMG she is pooping and pretend to gag. I bet they didn’t gag watching “2 women and a cup”.

Obviously products of our modern education system. Otherwise, they would have had some idea of what was going to happen long before they saw the video.

I watched “The Miracle of Life” in high school. I never actually saw the birth scene in its entirety because I was too busy laughing at the boys sitting next to me who looked like they were going to throw up.

But seriously- how old are these boys? How could they NOT know what was going to happen? The one guy saying, “Just show us your v-a?” Yeah, cuz during childbirth, that area of a woman’s anatomy looks so arousing.

Having given birth to three children, I can say that it is very messy, but it is still a very awesome thing to have that little one. I remember begging my hubby not to look down there during the first one because I was so sure he would never want to touch me again. Considering we’ve had two more kids, I guess I had nothing to worry about.

The headline states “Two Men Watch Childbirth.” Whatever…I’m not a bit convinced they’re actually men. And if they are, they should turn in their cards.

Watching a childbirth is only a good time if you were the one that put it there nine months before. Even then, it’s hard to watch an area that you had so much fun with being mistreated by the doctor and your new child. Every time my children have a birthday, I smack them in the crown of the head.

I wish our children would realize just what we went through to bring them into this world. Maybe all young teens should see a birthing video!

One time when I subbed, the teacher left me with the birthing video to show the students. The kids were all screaming and I laughed through the whole thing. I’ve given birth to five children, the last one in an ambulance with no drugs.

My father once gave me a bit of advice, “Son, if the doctor ever asks you if you want to go down and look at the ‘miracle of birth,’ just say no. Stick to being your wife’s moral support, and let the people who are trained and paid do their job.” and that was from a man who has been the first responder on all manners of horrific auto fatalities.

your pop is/ was a wise man.

“permanently, intimately traumatized” describes most men that subject themselves to witnessing birth as if it is a requirement.
      It is not.
Ladies… if you want your man to be permanently aroused by you… you will not pressure him to do this !!

On the way home from Lamaze class, after watching “the video.” Dead silence in the car. I finally say, “So, what did you think of the video?”
My husband replies, “What did YOU think?”
“I thought that was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen in my life!”
“Oh, thank God! So did I!!!”
And we laughed and laughed and laughed.

I have helped 8 mothers birth 9 babies. Two were mine.
Men if you want to know what it feels like
Take your lower lip , pull up and over your head and pull down
make sure you cover both ears
Yep that should just about do it…

Teens should see a childbirth video. They need to understand the consequences of their actions AND the beauty of life. Well, okay, it’s not all the beautiful but it is LIFE. Parents should teach their children. I applaud these young men for stepping up and having a looksie.
