We Can’t Make This Up: Hooters Ballgirls Again Plagued By Mistakes During Spring Training Game

Okay, so maybe partnering with Hooters waitresses for spring training in Clearwater, Fla., wasn’t the best idea the Philadelphia Phillies ever had.

Well, not for this season at least. That’s because the errors that popped up a couple weeks ago have only continued.

First, there was the Hooters ballgirl who disrupted live play two weeks ago during an exhibition game against the Tampa Bay Rays. We’re sure you remember:

Now we have a triple play of Hooters foul-ups from Tuesday’s matchup between the Phillies and the New York Yankees.

“The Phillies’ ballgirl reacts slowly to a foul popup, resulting in a near-collision with the Yankees’ Ronnier Mustelier,” reads the description to the following video:

And the near-collision incident wasn’t the only red-faced highlight from Tuesday’s game. Another Hooters ballgirl graciously reenacted Bill Buckner’s career-defining moment not once:

But twice:

“The spring’s almost over so allow the Hooters girls to continue embarrassing themselves at Phillies games,” writes Mike Oz for Yahoo! Sports.

“But can we suggest something? Before trotting out these ladies again next year, someone at Hooters should invest in a couple Tom Emanski videos.”

The Phillies went on to beat the Yankees 4-1.

These girls are not professional ball players yet you all feel the need to criticize a mistake? Seems like an executive mistake, they should have hired more athletic girls to do an athletic job. Then again, it is all about marketing, maybe those opining are unaware of the Hooters slogan ‘delightfully tacky, yet unrefined’.

And to the women on here throwing stones, WOW! Since when are Hooters girls prostitutes? My daughter, “J. Brook” is the current centerfold. Not my choice profession for her, but she is an adult & makes her own choices and she loves working for Hooters (hello, she’s 22 & enjoying life, duh.). Hooters also provided her many opportunities including going to Japan & Costa Rica (she was part of the team that opened/trained those new stores). It is only 1 of 4 jobs she works. She also goes to college and in her senior yr of HS she earned a 4.0.

But I shouldn’t have to defend the girls, intelligent people would know better not to ASS-U-ME just because a woman is pretty that she is also stupid. Or how about just showing some class, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Don’t let the Hooters girls play you.These are copycat stunts to garner publicity. Do you know why babes work as cheerleaders and/or chicken leg pushers? They do it for one very big benefit and it has nothing to do with minimum wage or junk food.They get invited to the RIGHT parties. This is where they get a chance to meet and later marry a big pro ball player or some Dr. Porsche driving a Ferrari. It’s all about the real money. Next question?

The reason being, of course, that it is nothing more than a Leftist code word created to make men feel guilty for being attracted to beautiful women.   I’m a husband, a father and a grandfather.
  Women don’t have to expose themselves as such to be beautiful.
  What appears to me that attracts your attention is not just their looks but their level of exposure!
