‘I Just Put Three Rounds in His A**’: Dramatic 911 Call Captures Oklahoma Man Shooting Home Intruder After Police Couldn’t Arrive Fast Enough
A dramatic 911 call recorded a Oklahoma man’s confrontation with an intruder who broke into his Ponca City home early Thursday morning. The homeowner ended up shooting the intruder several times when police didn’t arrive in time.
The roughly five minute 911 call begins frantically enough: “You better get these (expletive) here or they will die,” the man told a 911 dispatcher.
The homeowner stayed on the line with 911 as he waited for the police to arrive. However, the police didn’t arrive before the intruder found his way into the house.
“They’re beating on my front door right now,” he said.
“Okay, we’ve got them on the way,” the dispatcher replied.
“They better hurry up, because I will blow these (expletive) away.”
A short time later, the home intruder managed to gain entry into the home. It was at this point that the homeowner fired several shots at the suspect.
“I just put three rounds in his ass,” he informed the dispatcher.

Ponca City Police say the incident took place at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. The intruder was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance and then airlifted to another Tulsa hospital. His condition was unknown Friday and police have not identified the suspect.
“The case is under investigation.Β Ponca City Police say once they complete the investigation the case will be turned over to the DA,” KOKH-TV reports.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 7:50amThe thieve was treated at hospital and then airlifted to another hospital. The medical airlift cost the taxpayer $10,000, and the entire taxpayer bill for the medical care for this thug will probably cost $250,000. I say let him die in the street.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 7:27amThis man that shot the home intruder will be booked for pre meditated murder by calling 911 and saying that he was going to shoot someone. What a dummy. 3 in the chest and 2 in the head just to make sure. Then after that is done a bonfire is in order. (And if your lucky the thieves might have drove a vehicle you can have for scrap $.) I would say if you lived in a town you might want to not have a bonfire. Your neighbors might get angry.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 6:11amUnless its a fluke, the Police will NEVER GET THERE in time! They aren’t there to stop crime, they are there to arrest criminals. Which by the very nature of the word, they can’t be considered criminals until they have committed a crime!

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 4:58amThe next push by the liberals will be the “Hand Cannon” ban…….why does anyone need a 44 magnum or a .45 semi automatic ( or desert eagle and the like) when a .25 caliber revolver is just as deadly (and restricted to 6 rounds). No one needs a 10 shot clip fed semi auto “hand cannon” ….That kind of firepower should only be reserved for the military, the Government or the Police forces…….
Sarcasm off……
I wonder when semi auto rifles like the M14A, Garand M1, lever action Winchesters, will be next ? What about tactical and non tactical semi auto shotguns ? Drum fed semi auto tactical 12 gauges are a holy terror, far more destructive than the lowly but practical Ar15….A 25 round drum fed semi auto 12 gauge using slug ammo is an awesome killing machine even in untrained hands. Are these weapons next ? These questions and the comparison to the Ar15 and how it’s being vilified by irresponsible pols and MSM personalities as somehow being an unreasonable exception to the “right to bear arms” defies credibility. I wish more ordinary citizens were familiar with firearms and their intended uses ( lethality etc) as this argument about “assault weapons” and the need for a ban of them to prevent criminals from taking more lives than they normally would if they weren’t armed with “assault weapons” is laughable and downright insulting. Maybe this is rant for another article but I don’t see it that way. Maybe mandatory training for all adults is the way to go

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 11:16am@atrocities; “Shall not be infringed”; clearly, 911 cannot dispatch & protect. We’ve been lied to, as usual. Recordings prove that it’s a law enforcement tool, not to help WE THE PEOPLE!

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 3:06amI would like to thank THE BLAZE for telling the stories that the irrelevant media will not tell… unless of course they want to blame the homeowner for being home when he should not have been, and he failed to give proper warning to this poor defenseless perp who meant him no physical harm but only wanted to steal his wares… how dare this fine member of society be nearly killed for comitting a simple property crime… /sarcasm

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 2:59amWhy call the cops??? If you live out in the country get a silencer. If you live far enough out then no worries.
Shoot them throw them in the back of car/truck/ whatever and dump they’re dumb arses in the river, woods city dumpster or burn them up.
I will bet anything they sure as hell didn’t tell the local LEO’s or they’re friends and family that they
were going to rob John Q. Public that evening. Just make sure they are dead and leave no fingerprints…….Clean up with bleach, soap, and any of the cleaning supplies that destroys blood cells.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 1:33amIn Oklahoma you have to wait till they enter your home. Even if you see them breaking into your car or stealing things in your yard you can’t shoot them. All cases are turned over to the DA for review. My CCL instructor, a lawyer, told us the best thing is to shut yourself in the bedroom and call 911, then hang up. If they come in the bedroom shoot center mass at least twice. Then call 911 again and say there has been an incident of violence and hang up. Don’t tell the police anything except your name. And don’t make a report until you talk to a lawyer. Someone mentioned the druggest that shot a robber, then ran off at the mouth. He is in jail now because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. Police are there to file a report, not to prove you were justified.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 7:15amKind of the same thing here in CT. If they are in your home, as long as you don’t shoot them in the back while they are running away, you’re safe. Outside your home, you will have to defend yourself in court (as in why didn’t YOU retreat?) or do what a State Trooper told me…..if you shoot him outside, drag his body back into the house.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 1:11amOne of his neighbors (a woman) stated that she felt one shot was enough, why shoot the intruder three times.
That woman doesn’t understand, that just one shot will just p*ss-off an intruder who is on drugs or alcohol. Ask any police officer. Perps who are high on something, will keep coming toward you until you take them down.
Also, a victim who’s on an adrenaline rush, will often empty the clip on a perp, out of fear. It’s just natural instinct to protect yourself and your family.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 1:06amNow if he did literally shot in the A$$ he will have problems as that would mean the intruder saw the gun and then ran away to give his A$$ as a target.
That could be used in court somewhere as a indication that he was running away and the threat was over even if he was not shot in the butt but face and body.

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 12:33amFrom the 911 tapes the man and his wife were both scared out of their wits, i might have been too, you never know… but sounded like a younger couple, the man needs more practice at the range or a bigger gun cause it sounded like he shot way too many times… I had an officer tell me many years ago if you have to shoot someone in your own home make sure they don’t fall back outside and make sure they are good and dead cause if not you might not end up being the only one considered the victim… Just some food for thought!

Posted on March 23, 2013 at 12:27amI think if I was the trauma doc and they told me a helicopter was bringing in a shot up home intruder I would take about a 2 hour coffee break
How much did they spend saving this criminals life? The homeowner should be charged with failure to adequately defend his home. A $400 fine – about what it would have cost to get a 12 gauge shotgun and a box of 4-buck shells. And if he buys the 12 ga & shells himself and mails a copy of the receipt to the court the fine is waived. Kidding of course. He did a fine job all in all. My hats off to him.
Whats with all these people using hand guns to defend their homes? Those are for concealed carry. The 12 gauge has been around over a hundred years and there is not one fancy shmancy semi-auto handgun that can hold a candle to it for effectiveness.
