What Issues Are College Students Most Concerned About?

On his Friday evening broadcast, Glenn Beck hosted a panel of college students to discuss what issues are most important to them. From mounting student loan debt to an increasingly difficult job market, college students and recent graduates are feeling the sting of America’s changing economic times.

Watch below as students weigh in with their concerns and experiences:

In CONTROL, Glenn Beck presents a passionate, fact-based case for guns that reveals why gun control isn’t really about controlling guns at all; it’s about controlling us. Find out more HERE.

I’m a college student, in Vermont, and I’m not liberal, what a shock! I’m not worried about finding a job after college (trying to start a 3d printing business), I’m not worried about paying for college (GI Bill has helped a lot), I’m not worried about my piece of paper (college is for my own personal enlightenment). I am worried that our country won’t exist long enough for my generation to even have a chance to turn this **** around, I am worried war is headed our way and I’ll lose friends and family, and I’m worried that my generation is a bunch of communist pansies. Those are realistic worries because a bank that collapses can’t take your money or house, a corporation can’t own your soul, and no government could ever win against AMERICA. Cling to your guns, ammo, and dreams because that’s what it’s coming down to.

If they are worried about getting a job they should not have voted for a fool, marxist like obama. I think, that unless you are in the armed services,….voting age should be back to 21….; and that is probably too young.

It’s all about the real jobs that are left of which Mr. Obama hasn’t got the first clue on how to perpetuate. Any room that he enters, he immediately becomes the least qualified person there. If today’s students were smart they would dispense with the traditional business or engineering degree wasteland and learn a trade such as electrician or plumber. Most people are afraid of electricity and will usually call a plumber for a sticky toilet problem. That’s beats earning a four year engineering degree so that you can assemble bicycles in Wal Mart that were made in China or a big business degree when Wall Street and the banks are laying-off thousands of workers.

The country must discover education. Children from K-12 must be informed of economics and free enterprise capitalism. This is the basis for seeing how one country can excel all others. Then introduce government and how government can assist or damage this prosperity. We have allowed Communists to infiltrate our systems and eliminate the value of our system. This has taken place over 100 years so we are not going to fix it in 5 years. However, we CAN introduce it in our states and resist the Washington influence. Education is the answer.

How about you have to actually PAY Fed Income Tax to vote. Or own property and pay property Tax.

Takers should Not be able to vote.

Yeah… That would go over like a turd in a punch bowl… I have an Idea… read http://www.repeal17.net and see if you think this is doable… There are two houses of representatives… The Senate is just a glorified house of Rep… If the 17th Amendment were repealed, the state legislatures would pick their Senators again and the Senate would truly represent the states interests in the Federal government…

Do you think the Senators vote in the best interest of the state or do they vote in their own best interest to be re-elected??? there is a clear and distinct difference…

The problem with that, 13th, is a lot of us, that used to be property owners, no longer own property thanks, in part, to these jokers.

I’d rather you had to get a voting license, like a driver’s license, after taking a short quiz on stuff you should know. Name the 3 branches of government, name at least 4 Supreme Court Justices, identify the Bill of Rights, etc.

      KENBOO1…

      I agree.
We don’t have Statesman in the Senate anymore.
We have professional politicians…. trained to use specific hand gestures, and to always look at the camera a certain way.
They’ve got more in common with American Idol Contestants than the people they represent..

From mounting student loan debt to an increasingly difficult job market?
Well these kids have complete and direct control over the “mounting student loan debt” issue. But in the end, the American taxpayer will get stuck for the tab.
The job market is indeed “difficult”. These students need to choose their course of study wisely, and their political choices even more wisely.

It is still time to change the voting age to thirty, to give these brainwashed kids time to adjust, before the 2016 federal election!

I have never heard the term rehypothication (sp?). To me the way Glen explained it, sort of remixed me of the Barney Frank/fannyMae and the banking disasters. It seems that the best way to teach kids the truth is to either make a movie or video game that uses that scenario. The movie could follow the individual that gets foreclosed on and the impact on their life as well as with the business and the people making the decisions. Create a game that gives you choices on real life scenarios…you are given an incomeand a certain $ amount in savings. then you have to pick a car, $s to invest, rent or own. Education , average utility bills, food and entertainment budget. It should calculate how that person would be doing I one to three years. Give options for credit cards. Results show consequences of their choices. And maybe I misunderstood Glen. LOL!
