Four square blocks of the West, Texas, farming community near the fertilizer plant that had a massive explosion Wednesday night was reduced to rubble with up to 15 people estimated to be killed and more than 160 injured.
The town 20 miles north of Waco had only three ambulances of its own and saw support from rescue teams in the surrounding communities overnight.
Those not directly impacted by this local tragedy might be seeking an avenue through which they can express their care and support.
Some have already begun donating “for West, Texas” and for “for Texas volunteer firefighter depts.”
