With another debt ceiling negotiation in the near future, immigration reform possibly sliding to the back burner and increased federal gun control nearly all but given up on, the Obama administration has found themselves immersed in three scandals to start the week.

Congressional investigations and media pressure have continued to be directed at the administration as it struggles to explain its reaction to the September 11, 2012 attack of a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. An explosive admission Friday has led to intense media coverage through the weekend and early week on the IRS, which has been revealed to have been targeting conservative groups for at least the last 18 months. And just this Monday, the Associated Press reported that the Department of Justice had secretly seized two months worth of telephone records from reporters and editors working for the global news organization.

On ‘Real News’ Tuesday the panel was joined by CATO law expert Trevor Burrus to discuss the scandals, how they should be investigated, and explain what legal consequences the White House and administration could face.
