Former Florida governor and widely-speculated potential 2016 candidate Jeb Bush said there could be a “split ballot” within his own family should he decide to run for president.

“I think we’ve got a split ballot amongst the Bush senior family,” Bush said in an interview aired Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.” “Pretty sure that’s the case.”

His mother, former first lady Barbara Bush, said in April she doesn’t think her other son should run for the White House, saying that while he would be the most qualified, “We’ve had enough Bushes.”

Jeb Bush, a longtime immigration reform proponent, raised some eyebrows with a comment Friday that immigrants are “more fertile.”
