A sports reporter conducting a sideline interview got to learn first hand what it feels like to be in the game earlier this week.
Amy Campbell with Scout/Fox Sports NEXT was interviewing recruiting analyst Chad Simmons at a competition for high school students in Oregon when one of the football players showed just how far he would go to hang onto the ball.
While Campbell is conducting her interview, you can see receiver Ermon Lane from Florida bolting down the field getting ready to make a catch.
Lane makes the completion, but couldn’t slow himself down fast enough to avoid running into and knocking over the reporter.
Watch the footage:
Campbell has assured everyone on Twitter that she is doing well and even joked that this was a lesson for her needing insurance.
She also snapped a picture with Lane to show there were no hard feelings.
Even still, Campbell told Fox Sports she had seen Lane coming for her throughout the day.
“He has almost collided with me several times since I’ve been out here,” Campbell said.
Other than being “a little bit bruised” and sore the next day, Campbell was no worse for wear.
