Bill O’Reilly hosted the president of the National Urban League on his show Tuesday to discuss the significant problems facing the black community and, more importantly, some potential solutions.

O’Reilly said there is a “hustle” going on within the “civil rights industry” and argued the Al Sharptons of the world don’t really want to address black crime because it would mean that “black culture would have to change.”

“I believe the root of the black crime problem in America is the disintegration of the African-American family,” O’Reilly said, asking his guest, Marc Morial if he agrees.

Morial eventually said he agrees the “disintegration” of the black family has at least contributed to social problems in the African-American community. However, he argued there is also a disintegration of the traditional family unit across all races. O’Reilly countered by pointing out that it is far more serious of a problem within the black community.

O’Reilly went on to say that what the National Urban League and other civil rights groups are doing “is not working.” So, he offered some solutions.

“Stop the BS, stop the diversions!” the host lectured. “Come to some solutions. And the first solution is, you’ve got to stop young black women from having babies out of wedlock. You’ve got to discourage that actively. And the second thing is, you have to demand discipline in your public schools…get the unions out of there.”

“I don’t hear any of that from Jackson or Sharpton or from you or President Obama,” O’Reilly added. “I don’t hear any of it from you guys.”

Morial accused O’Reilly of not “listening that closely” and claimed his group is actively fighting to improve the black community.
