Across the street police found a bloody shirt, a baseball cap, and what looked to be human hair, according to KGO-TV, adding that police believe the suspect has changed his appearance.

KTVU-TV reports the two security guards approached the suspect around 12:30 p.m. PCT because the suspect was “believed to have committed or was attempting to commit an undisclosed petty crime.”

KTVU-TV adds that the suspect “pulled out a revolver, pistol-whipped one of them on the head and shot the other’s shoulder before escaping into the Mi Pueblo Shopping Center” and that as of 2:22 p.m. PCT the suspect was still on the loose.

Both security officers’ were non-life threatening, and they will recover, KGO-TV adds.

Police were reviewing surveillance video of the incident, KTVU-TV says.
