Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver’s Outrageous Comment Caught on Tape at Country Music Concert (UPDATED)

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper has apologized for making a controversial and offensive comment at a Kenny Chesney concert.

Embarrassing video of Cooper’s outrageous remark was published by on Wednesday.

“I will jump that fence and fight every n***er here,” Cooper can be heard saying in the video. Watch below (Warning: offensive language):

Cooper later apologized in a series of tweets and later a press conference on Wednesday, saying he was “ashamed” and “disgusted” with himself.

Deadspin reports, citing a “tipster,” that Riley lost his cool when a black security guard wouldn’t allow him to go backstage at the concert.

Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie issued the following statement:

“We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper’s words. This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.”

“The NFL stands for diversity and inclusion. Comments like this are wrong, offensive, and unacceptable,” the National Football League said in its own statement.

Cooper was also apparently involved in an altercation at the same concert. Video of the incident was posted back in June, NBC Philadelphia reports.
