Bizarre video posted on YouTube seemingly shows pro-Muslim Brotherhood “protesters” in Egypt staging dramatic poses and even bloody injuries for cameramen and photographers.
The video, if proven to be authentic, would be shocking look at the Muslim Brotherhood’s propaganda campaign in Egypt, a country on the brink of total chaos. The footage was first posted by ElbadilTV, an Egyptian news portal, earlier this month and then flagged by anonymous blogger Elder of Ziyon. It is unclear when the video was actually recorded.
The scene plays out like an actual movie shoot as so-called demonstrators freeze and hold their dramatic poses for the cameras before suddenly snapping back into action. Other “protesters” can be seen lying on the ground lifelessly or faking injuries while pictures are snapped.
Still pictures of the scene, without knowing the context in which they were shot, appear to show tragic scenes of violence and chaos. Take a look:

While it’s entirely possible that the video above is a coordinated effort to disseminate pro-Muslim Brotherhood propaganda, the video could also be something else entirely. Perhaps an Egyptian filmmaker was actually shooting video for a movie or some kind of other production (the blood looks pretty fake and there appears to be onlookers). At this point, there isn’t any definite evidence available to prove exactly why the protest was staged.
On July 3, the Egyptian military removed Mohammed Morsi, of the Muslim Brotherhood, from office in what can only be described as a military coup. Mass rallies and protests from both supporters and critics of Morsi have raged ever since, though they appear to have calmed down some.
Morsi has been held by military authorities since then.
