President Barack Obama told the press he’s having a “great time as always” on the sixth day of his family vacation on Martha’s Vineyard.

Among his activities Friday was a family bike ride, according to reports.

The president, first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha took a late-morning bike ride Friday in West Tisbury, Mass., according to White House pool reports. Obama rode with 15-year-old Malia and the first lady biked with 12-year-old Sasha.

President Obama has been mocked in the past for a 2008 bike ride, where some derided him for wearing “mom jeans.”

“It wasn’t a pretty picture: ill-fitting jeans, a tucked-in golf shirt, black-and-white socks and a helmet that could make Michael Dukakis blush,” The New York Daily News wrote.

Glenn Beck, in fact, referenced the photo on Thursday in discussing recent reports that the president was playing cards during the Osama bin Laden raid instead of remaining in the Situation Room.

“Who does that?” Beck asked.  “That’s a guy who ‑‑ well, rides a girl’s bike with a little girl helmet…”
