Taekwondo met baseball in the form of the first pitch at one of South Korea’s professional league games last week.
“Taekwondoist” and actress Tae-Mi took the pitcher’s mound at the Doosan Bears game at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. She set her feet and wound up, but instead of letting the ball fly right away, her body launched into an elaborate flip. Upon landing, she spun and thew the ball.
Although decidedly not a strike the crowd forgives her for the showmanship in her lead-up. The players on the Doosan Bears though seem either unimpressed or a little perplexed about being shown up by her flair.
Tae-Mi was pretty pleased with herself though as were the fans and the players from the other team.

According to the video description, Tae-Min won the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championship in 2007 and starred in the 2011 action film “The Kick.”
