Job Interview Prank Involving a Giant TV and a Meteor Strike Produces Hilarious Results

Remember the video last week that featured Taco Bell customers literally eating their own words?

At the time, we thought that was a pretty clever marketing stunt.

But then we came across this LG Electronics TV advert and everything seems to pale in comparison.

Shot for LG Electronics in Chile, the prank involves unsuspecting job applicants being sat across from what looks like an office window but is actually an 82-inch “Ultra HD” TV.

The “window” then plays a video of a meteor crashing into the earth – and a hidden camera catches the reactions of the understandably freaked-out applicants.

The point of the ad, which was uploaded to YouTube on Monday, is that LG’s “Ultra HD” screens are so “ultra,” that an ordinary person will have trouble distinguishing between what’s real and what’s fake.

And as for the applicants: Are they real? Are they just paid actors? Who cares! The viral prank is funny.
