Everything’s moving along swimmingly in this outdoor wedding until a previously mild-mannered man of the cloth (it’s unclear what faith he represents, exactly) has had enough of the clicks he’s hearing behind his head.
So he turns around and faces multiple photographers standing behind him…and tells them to get lost.
“Please, sirs, leave. Please?”
It seems they ask the officiant where they should go.
“Anywhere other than here,” he replies. “This is a solemn assembly, not a photography session. Please move or I will stop. I will stop the ceremony if you do not get out of the way.”
When he throws down that threat, the nearly wed couple get visibly shaken, particularly the groom. Check out his facial expression:
Finally the minister gets the meddling crew to skedaddle. On their way from their plumb spot, the padre offers a parting shot: “This is not about the photography; this is about God.”
What do you think? Did the minister rightly put the photographers in their place…or was he out of line?
