‘You’re Just an Absolutely Horrible Person’: 22-Year-Old Finds Out What Happens When You Dress Up as a Boston Marathon Victim for Halloween

This year has seen its fair share of distasteful Halloween costumes, but a Michigan woman may have taken the cake with an outfit that not only earned her the wrath of the Internet but also apparently got her fired from her job.

Alicia Ann Lynch tweeted a photo of herself smiling as she wore running gear with fake blood and bruises on her face, arms and legs. The 22-year-old was dressed as a victim of the Boston Marathon bombings.

BuzzFeed identified Lynch based a photo of her driver’s license, which she had previously posted online.

Lynch, who deleted all of hers social media accounts amid the furor, briefly reactivated her Twitter account, “@SomeSkANKinMI,” to beg people to stop the threats.

She also tweeted that she was fired from her job and was sorry.

The Hartland, Mich. Patch reported that a local business owner with the same last name as Lynch was forced to defend himself and say he is not related to her. Mike Lynch, owner of Lynch & Sons Landscaping, told the Hartland Patch he only has sons.

“This is someone completely unrelated to us just trying to stir something up, I have no idea,” Mike Lynch said.

“Somebody else posted it as falsely being from the company,” Lynch & Sons wrote on its Facebook page after Alicia Ann Lynch had tagged the company in a photo associated with her costume. “The company in no way thinks that is tasteful I just haven’t figured how to remove that person’s post.”

Separately, ahead of Halloween, Boston Magazine had called out people on Twitter considering dressing up as accused Boston bomber Dzhkohar Tsarnaev.
