Caran Johnson, of Vancouver, Wash., is apparently known in local social media circles for her tweets about local traffic using the handle @ScanCouver. As she live-tweeted a serious car accident on Wednesday afternoon, she had no idea she was also live-tweeting her worst nightmare.

According to local news reports, Johnson unknowingly was live-tweeting the crash that took the life of her husband.

“Johnson began tweeting about the two-vehicle collision shortly after it happened at 1:41 p.m.,” KATU reports. “As the afternoon wore on, she tweeted that she was growing concerned her husband might be involved because he was late arriving home.”

After a series of panicked tweets, Johnson claims her worst fears were confirmed true.

“it’s him. he died,” she wrote.
