A North Carolina woman on Thursday managed to record an intense standoff between sheriff’s deputies and an armed man suspected of trying to rob a pharmacy.

Police say Tyler Kennedy, 26, entered a CVS Pharmacy around 3 p.m. carrying a shotgun, WCNC-TV reported.

He allegedly jumped the pharmacy counter and demanded money, but fled when he failed to convince the cashiers to turn over the registers.

Kennedy took off in a gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck, officials said, and was quickly chased down by deputies. He exited his truck and took off on foot. Deputies closed in on Kennedy, who was also wearing a bulletproof vest, and an intense gunfight ensued.
