When an armed thug attempted to rob passengers on a city bus last month, he was likely surprised when his would-be victims fought back and neutralized him.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Trevonnte Brown, can be seen in newly-released surveillance video entering a Seattle bus and trying to rob two of the riders. He was actually able to steal a couple of cellphones before he proceeded towards the front of the bus and put his gun in another man’s face.

However, this particular passenger wasn’t having any of it. The would-be victim immediately went after the robber and was eventually helped by several other passengers, including one who had already been held up.

The fast-acting passengers can be seen holding down the suspect and even getting in some punches.

Chris Briggs was one of the first passengers robbed, told KOMO-TV that he first said no, but then complied after the suspect “jabbed” him harder and told him: “Don’t make this any harder than it has to be.”

“Then me and a couple other guys all just kind of jumped at the same time to kind of tackle him,” he added.

Police arrested Brown and charged him with three counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery. He faces more than 15 years in prison.
