Late night comedy show “Saturday Night Live” weighed in on the ongoing “Duck Dynasty” controversy last night, joking that “this week we learned that you can judge a book by its cover.”
On Wednesday, “Duck Commander” Phil Robertson was placed on indefinite suspension for making a number of controversial remarks on homosexuality.
“Saturday Night Live” did not shy away from the controversy, addressing it during their iconic “Weekend Update” segment.
“A large number of conservatives on Thursday criticized A&E for suspending ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Phil Robertson for his anti-gay comments, including Sen. Ted Cruz, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and Gov. Bobby Jindal — or as they are collectively known, ‘Dork Dynasty,’” host Seth Meyers joked.
On Thursday, Beck offered the cast of “Duck Dynasty” a place on TheBlaze TV.
