Flower arrangements. Tuxedo styles. Reception seating.
Just a few of the numerous details that mark most impending nuptials.
And stereotypically speaking, grooms-to-be typically pay less attention to such matters compared to their fiancees, if at all.
But on Christmas Day, one guy apparently busted that stereotype…and paid a price for it.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene of domestic dispute between an engaged couple in Blythewood, S.C., they determined that their verbal altercation was over their wedding color scheme, according to WIS-TV in Columbia, S.C.
Not only that, when the fiance attempted to leave the home, bride-to-be Krysta James stabbed him in the upper body, officials said.
The victim was transported to a hospital by witnesses at the scene, WIS-TV reported, and then taken to a second hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, said Sgt. Curtis Wilson of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
James was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, Wilson said. She remains in jail on a $10,000 bond, and it’s not known if she has an attorney, according to the New York Daily News.
