TV host Megyn Kelly’s reunion with former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner started out very friendly, but things quickly turned tense as they battled over Obamacare on Friday.

Weiner began with a “dodge,” referencing the “lie” of death panels under Obamacare when Kelly actually asked if President Barack Obama misled the American people when he promised they could keep their health care plans. He eventually admitted that Obama should have been more clear about the issue, but wouldn’t say he flat-out lied.

“What he said was not correct,” Kelly shot back. “There’s been no accountability.”

Weiner again defended Obama from Kelly’s criticism, saying the president apologized for the statement and admitted he should have been more concise. As the former congressman began explaining why he believes Obamacare is great rather than addressing her questions, Kelly interrupted him.

“Here we go again!” she said with a smile.

Weiner also disagreed with Kelly that the botched Obamacare rollout is a “blow” to progressivism and big government. He actually argued that Obamacare is “private insurance” and the government is merely providing subsidies for people to obtain private health care.

“That is a Republican principle and ideal,” Weiner said.

“Let’s shift bases because you are not answering my questions,” Kelly replied. “Some things change in three years and some things don’t change at all!”

The two engaged in some more heated crosstalk about who is running Healthcare.gov — but eventually Kelly couldn’t take it anymore.

“It’s just as irritating as it used to be,” Kelly reflected after airing the interview. She also said part two of the interview is set to air on Monday.
