Cleveland police have made several arrests in connection with last week’s savage beating of a disabled Army veteran.

According to a local CBS affiliate, suspects Kenneth Matthews, Ronald Reid Williams and an unidentified 16-year-old girl were arrested for allegedly taking part in the beating of Army vet Matthew Robinson. Police reportedly say the girl recorded the attack on her cell phone.

Robinson told WOIO-TV that the Feb. 7 attack started after he was surrounded by a group six to eight of teenagers while riding the bus.

The teens allegedly then started following him, eventually attacking him and stealing his things — all while recording the act on film.

During the attack, the disabled vet said derogatory terms were directed toward him.

“What they were saying was, ‘Knock that boy out!’ ‘White boy.’”

“What they were saying was, ‘Knock that boy out!’ ‘White boy.’ ‘Cracker.’ They were saying, ‘Knock that white boy out,’” Robinson told WOIO-TV.

Violent crime around the area has reportedly been a recent problem.

“Your mother or sister could be on the bus, and the same thing could happen to them,” he said.
