Five-year-old Daniel has Autism — and also a special affinity for trash pick-up day.

“I showed him a YouTube video of a garbage truck a couple of years ago and he’s been obsessed ever since,” his mother Robin Newberger told the San Francisco Chronicle.

But this week, trash pick-up day was different.

A new video, initially posted to Facebook, then YouTube, shows California trash collector Manuel Sanchez do something special to make the boy’s day.

As Daniel runs to greet the garbage truck, Sanchez asks his mom if he can “give him a present.” When she says yes, he climbs out of his truck and hands the boy a plastic bag containing a gift.

Inside? A brand new toy garbage truck — one Daniel used to previously have.

Video of the incident, titled “The Gift,” is now going viral and has touched the hearts of thousands across the world.

“The world is full of angels.”
