Police in a town near Walt Disney World are warning residents of a delivery man scheme that has resulted in several home robberies so far.
In Celebration, Fla., seven homes were burglarized in the last few weeks by a person posing as a delivery man. According to WKMG-TV, the man walks up to a home and knocks on the door. If a person answers, he says that he has a delivery for someone with a different name and walks away. If no one answers and he finds the house empty, he then breaks, stealing small, but valuable, items.
A neighbor’s security camera captured the burglar in one act. Shortly after the burglar knocked, found that no one was home and broke in, a dark minivan pulled up outside. The burglar then emerged from the home’s front door with a bag and got into the van.

Though the burglaries occurred while homeowners were out, some neighbors have been home.
“They did it while I was home, right across the street, and they could see that too,” Marie Gimbrone told WOFL-TV.
Residents said they weren’t necessarily aware of all the previous burglaries.
“They’re not really publicized,” Jim McGregor told WKMG.
Local police are encouraging residents to make sure doors and windows are locked and to look out for any suspicious activity.
