The pizza delivery guy who brought in a big order in the middle of the 2014 Academy Awards finally received his well-earned tip during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Monday.

Edgar Martirosyan from Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria in Los Angeles told the talk show host that he never expected to make such a delivery.

Martirosyan said he was initially told he would be making a delivery to writers. When he arrived, DeGeneres told him to follow her. That’s when Martirosyan ended up walking on stage, looking out onto Hollywood’s most elite.

“I was just shocked.”

DeGeneres then pulled out around $600 from singer Pharrell’s hat that she collected from various actors and handed it to Martirosyan, along with some extra cash to make his tip an even $1,000.

To conclude the segment, DeGeneres provided pizza for her entire studio audience — purchased from Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria.
