A Pennsylvania lawyer has garnered national attention after he released a new ad on YouTube where he suggests he can help criminals escape jail time.

The ad shows a series of individuals supposedly charged with committing a wide-range of crimes — including robbery and drug dealing, among other things — thanking the lawyer for helping them with their legal woes.

The video also shows the Pittsburgh attorney, Daniel Muessig, bragging about his supposed relationships with criminals and says there is no case he won’t take.

“I’m the Pittsburgh criminal defense attorney Pittsburgh criminals hire when they commit crimes,” Muessig says in the new YouTube ad.

“I may have a law degree, but I think like a criminal,” he adds. “Street knowledge.”

Muessig further claims that he spends time visiting his friends in jail.

“I pick up the phone, I answer calls, I return letters, and I make jail visits. Because I’ll probably be there, visiting my friends anyway,” he says.

The Pittsburgh attorney defended the controversial ad in an interview with KDKA, contending his ad conveys the services he offers in a way easy for his clientele to relate to.

“I want Pittsburgh to know that I love my job, and that just because I have fun with it doesn’t mean I don’t take it deadly serious,” he said.

Muessig, also appears to be a rapper, with several music videos available on the web.

He reportedly plans to soon go on tour in Japan.
