Malaysian authorities are investigating at least two additional passengers on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight apart from the pair who reportedly used stolen passports, according to a security official, Reuters said.

Investigators were verifying the identities with embassies in Malaysia, said the official, who has knowledge of the investigation but declined to be identified.

All the passengers being investigated purchased their tickets through China Southern Airlines, the official added.
