UPDATE — 9:20 a.m.: The strange object found floating is not debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, a U.S. official said, according to CNN.

A yellow “suspicious floating object” was spotted Sunday by Singapore search and rescue forces, according to the Wall Street Journal.

A naval vessel has been deployed to the site.
