It appears that President Barack Obama’s viral sketch on Funny or Die achieved its desired effect.
Obama went on comedian Zach Galifianakis’ parody interview show “Between Two Ferns” to encourage people to sign up for the Affordable Care Act. The clip debuted online Tuesday.
Just a few hours after the video was posted, White House spokeswoman Tara McGuinness tweeted that it was the No. 1 referrer to healthcare.gov.

“I can assure you that the Funny or Die video will be one of the reasons we get young Americans to healthcare.gov — one of the reasons we get young Americans to enroll in health insurance programs — but not the only one,” White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters Tuesday.
