The magnitude 5.1 earthquake that struck near Los Angeles Friday night became something of an surprise special effect for those attending the opening weekend of the “Noah” movie starring Russell Crowe.
A bit of life imitating art as “Noah” moviegoers feel earthquake Friday night.
For some moviegoers — given the variation of start times at different theaters — the quake hit during particularly poignant scenes, noted The Wire and Mashable.
This guy experienced the quake during a quite the apocalyptic moment:
Nothing quite like the end of the world scene in Noah starting and 20 seconds later your movie theater starts shaking from an earthquake.
And this patron felt the earth move during dialogue about humanity and survival:
So experiencing an earthquake during the whole "Is man worthy of survival?" speech in Noah was preeettty creepy, I must say. CC @
As for other reactions:
Um ok so the real life earthquake right in the middle of the animal stampede in Noah sort of freaked me out...
Watching Noah in the theater and the earth starts shaking. 5.1 earthquake. Seats rocking back and forth and people panicking. It was great.
