The Atlantic’s Molly Ball joined a CNN panel Sunday, characterizing the manner in which Democrats are bracing for the midterms in a way that’s almost sure to make them unhappy.

“I think right now we are in the, ‘chickens with their heads cut off’ stage of that process,” she said. “There is a little bit of denial. A little bit of, ‘No, Obamacare is going to be great and we’ll run on it.’ But, the fact of the matter is that they haven’t figured out what to do or if it can be salvaged.”

After her comments, host John King quipped, “That’s a highly technical term in politics. The ‘chickens with their head cut off.’”
