When rescuers found the dog, a Golden Retriever named Boomer, he had some cuts on his legs and was suffering from hip problems. He was taken to a veterinary clinic in Arlington, Wash., and was believed to be doing well.

Sadly, his owners did not survive the deadly slide.

Many readers were asking how they could adopt Boomer on KING-TV’s website. However, no additional details were available on Thursday.
