It’s the wake-up call no motel guests want ringing in their ears.

But at Philadelphia’s Roosevelt Motor Inn, the still of the post-midnight hour was rocked by gunfire in the hallways last week — and police have terrifying surveillance video as evidence.

The clip depicts a group of males running through the motel hallways shooting at each other — and they’re all still at large.

“We don’t know what’s the motive behind this,” Lt. John Stanford told KYW-TV in Philadelphia. “Either way, it’s still a problem. There’s no way you can have individuals shooting at each other especially inside of an occupied hotel.”

Officers responded to a radio call for a shooting inside the motel at 12:28 a.m March 31. When police got to the scene, a motel employee said he heard gunfire in a hallway; police added that after the shots, a male holding a handgun ran past the front desk, through the parking lot, and down the main road.

“We’re lucky that no one was injured and no one was killed as a result of this,” Stanford told KYW-TV.
