MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Five students remain hospitalized Saturday in the wake of a stabbing rampage at a suburban Pittsburgh high school.
One 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds are in critical condition in the intensive care unit of Forbes Regional Hospital. A 17-year-old remains in critical condition at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. A 14-year-old student is listed in fair condition.
The teens were among the 21 students stabbed or slashed at Franklin Regional High School on Wednesday. A security guard was also wounded.
Sixteen-year-old Alex Hribal faces four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault. Police say they don’t yet have a motive for the rampage.
It’s not clear when the high school will reopen.
