This Canadian Teenager Can’t Stop Sending Death Threats to Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio gets a lot of hate, but one teenager takes the cake for persistent hostility.

“I can’t wait to take my knife and stab you 50 times in the chest,” a 16-year-old Alberta, Canada, boy allegedly wrote in a May 1 email to the sheriff, the Global Post reported. “Then after words [sic] I’m going to slit your throat and throw you in a dumpster which I will light on fire.”

The teenager was arrested soon after

At the time the most recent email was sent, the teen was awaiting sentencing for six previous death threats against Arpaio.

“My patience is running thin,” Arpaio said in a statement, characterizing the teen as “a ticking time bomb” threatening ordinary citizens as well as the sheriff. “If I have to return to Canada again to testify, I will in order to aid in the prosecution of this menace.”

The continued threats from the Canadian teenager are just the latest in a long string of digital death threats sent to “America’s Toughest Sheriff” via such avenues as email, Facebook and YouTube.
