Open Carry Tarrant County held an rally Saturday, with guns out and available for viewing, outside a Home Depot in North Richland Hills, Texas, according to WFAA-TV in Dallas/Ft. Worth.
“I understand people get nervous when they see people walking around with guns, but they should understand they don’t have a Constitutional right to feel warm and fuzzy,” open carry supporter Chris Donawho told WFAA, “but we do have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.”
About 150 supporters of open carry showed up for the rally and raffle for ammunition and tickets to see the Texas Rangers play baseball while a small counter-demonstration from members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and others took place.
The rally comes on the heels of restaurants Chipotle, Sonic, and Chili’s banning guns as well as angry Memorial Day exchange between a Marine vet and an open carry group in Fort Worth.
