If yesterday was the first day one of his fellow Californians decided to follow Rep. Dana Rohrabacher on Pinterest or Twitter, they might have assumed the 13-term Republican was a big fan of swimsuits and losing weight for the summer.
Two of the House Armed Services Committee member’s social media accounts were hacked Wednesday, leaving thousands of followers wondering just what would pop up next.
The photos were clearly out of character for the congressman and could easily be identified as spam, but Rohrabacher has been known to stand out from a crowd.
Earlier this year the New York Times said the “surfer, scuba diver, buddy of the rock star Sammy Hagar, Mr. Rohrabacher has always kept to his own beat,” while describing his attempt to stand up for the Kremlin amidst the Ukraine crisis.
The posts have since been deleted, and when TheBlaze asked Rohrabacher press secretary Ken Grubbs about the hack he simply said, “It happens, but we fixed it. At least we hope we did.”
